    Transistor identification

    Hi I am looking for some help trying to identify an NPN transistor. It is marked TCDL 83-92. Please see attached photo. Any help would be appreciated

    maybe in house number .can you find a parts list for the unit ?

        what is the unit ? are there anymore transistors same number ? if so you could at least work out the pin out .

          Hi pete hall. It is a led ballast unit for an emergency light. There is another transistor marked the same the pin out is as follows:1

          pin No

          1 Emitter
          2 Collector
          3 base

                so does the board contain anymore of those transistors - ones that work?

                    well if you know the spec, what's the problem?

                    or just stick an NPN ZTX seies in there - thoes can handle serious power.

                        any idea on the kind of voltage it has to handle?

                        maybe a ztx450 would work - but you need to bend the leads a bit.
