Asus P6T won t boot in Bios!

My Asus P6T do not start into the bios, first at all I got the Board from a friend tand he mean it works.
But if got no headsink from 1366 and used on from 775 first time it starts outside the case into Bios, than after a view minutes there was a massage that the cpu is overheated, so I unfortunatly take of the power!
But now if tried an nother 775 Headsink with more power an the board do not start into the bios again, the cpu fan run everthing seams to work but it wont boot into damned bios!
    couldt it be that i7 920 died at 188,6 °F (87 Celius)
Or is there be a chance to awake the system again?

87 C should kill anything unless that was with a CPU core OC and a CPU core overvolt.

IIRC, OC'ing and overvolting the Vcore, can change the characteristics of the CPU and make it less tolerant of high temps and in some cases, may result in 60 C making it crash.

But those characteristics are possibly reversible, just by returning it back to stock core voltage and stock core frequency specs.

I think you meant "should *not* kill anything".

87°C won't do anything to those CPU, except maybe making them unstable if overclocked indeed.

      First try a clear CMOS.

Also I'm not sure how you mounted the 775 heatsink as it doesn't fit on a 1366 socket.

yupp... get a proper heatsink for lga1366, apply thermal paste and mount it properly on the cpu and make sure the heatsink makes good contact on the cpu.

and lastly, never ever run something that comes with a heatsink, without the proper heatsink, gpu or cpu!! thats just asking for trouble!

Asus ROG Ally X -RC72LA - changed hidden bios settings with 'Smokeless-UMAF', won't get past boot logo

Hi all, I've spent the past week digging through the forums and guides to try correct my foolish mistake of changing hidden settings while tinkering around, and to be honest my heads overloaded so I'm hoping you'll be able to help.

I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For...

[TUTORIAL] fix asus bios with bios from asus web support (by razor_amd)
            by razor_amd
With ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.

For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.

I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.

This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...

            Hi there,

I know there is somebody who can tell me what is happening with my laptop. For start, it is an asus vivobook s510ua with an asustek x510ua motherboard with an intel i5 7200u cpu and 16gb ram.. i have a screenshot from speccy before strange things started.. as you can see the laptop type and bios version x510ua.302.I don’t manually update the bios because i don’t like to having a bricked bios, i know what troubles that gives..

I did a fresh win 11 install, and after the automatic updates, windows rebooted and automatically started asus ez flash.....

ASUS ex-b250-V7 motherboard bios corrupted - by me
            by oragano
hey all, i did a silly thing and flashed bios to perfectly working board. None of the asus official download bios would work with ez flash. They all gave error saying not supported bios file. I tried using uefi tool to extract it to a bin file but then ez flash wouldnt even recognise it.
So, i used freedos and afudos with the aforementioned bin file i extracted and forced the issue. After bios reprogram, reboot and it was dead. Fans spinning but no post.
i have a bios writer and none of the .cap files from the official site work either. I just get one spin, then off, then all fans...
