I'm just calling it like I see it.

HE is not adequate grade for Vcore on a P4.
    Bad idea.

    .
If a motherboard doesn't have to last a long time, then a lesser-quality capacitor can be used, like a generic cap, or some Taiwanese caps. I do know some that have used general purpose caps on their motherboards. I know people interpret sentences a little bit differently.

HE is fine for many things. What would you rather have, Nichicon HE caps or crappy Lelon caps?

Now shut up and get on with life. He already has ordered his Nichicon HE caps, so you pretty much can't do anything.

I know HE is fine for many things. - Never said they weren't.

What I said is they aren't rated well enough for VRM use in P4.

He already has ordered his Nichicon HE caps for his motherboard! He can't return them to Digikey like returning a recently purchased defective toy car (with the original receipt) at Wal-Mart.

So, really, I said shut up on this thread and get on with life.

They might not be the best for the P4 VRM, but the D44H11 transistors in my BenQ FP731 17" LCD monitors aren't the best replacements for the original 2SC5707 transistors that failed in my monitors.

If the HE caps work, then that's okay with the guy with the AOpen motherboard.

He said this, He's not coming, He won't work, Hu's in charge of China,
          this is a riot.
When other forums are dull and boring, The good posting here?, priceless.
If in boubt about brand and rating for replacement caps I suggest you roll your own.
No waiting for delivery or lost orders.
It's easy to do, step by step you have to cut your strips and soak them in pepsi.
If in a hurry you could unroll a fire cracker to reuse the paper.
This step is very important and requires your extra effort.
After the strips are rolled up and taped up you will want to drink exactly six beers and eat exactly four Mentos.
Wait just half an hour then piss in a cup, and soak your newly made caps in there for another half hour.
It's trickier to mount these onto the board becuase you won't be using any solder and they swell up from the soda and mentos beer piss.
I use Master Mend five minute Epoxy and position them as best I can.
I'll start a new thread about
          how my boards aren't working.

            Will whiskey piss do?
            I don't drink beer.

If it's a P4 should I upgrade to Tequila piss or is Whiskey still okay?

Apparently you can get Deer piss on eBay but not Beer piss.
