Hi all,

I've recently aquired a large amount of BER computer equipment and while checking out what I had I came across this Gigabyte Mobo, I thought i'd share with u what can can happen if bad caps are left too long.

these caps are labeled GSC.

notice how badly the ICS clock chip took the worst damage.

Sorry, but despite my apparant omnipotence, that is still beyond me.

Those should be added to the "This is why you never ignore bad caps" thread...


I still need to fix my desoldering station... want to recap my other 694d before it looks like that too.

I think there should be a huge lawsuit against all the badcaps companies, not ABIT like has been actually carried out.
