    First post -Intel NUC 10i5 -BXNUC10i5FNH not powering on -IC burnt- request for IC details/datasheet

    Hi all,
    I came across this very active forum with knowledgeable folks on electronic circuits and components, while google searching for the details of my burnt IC marked 7603 in Intel NUC board. I joined this forum today and this is my first post here.
    I recently got an Intel NUC 10i5 and had installed Linux Mint and was using it for about a month when it died suddenly and did not power up after that.(Power Adaptor is ok). When I opened the NUC , there was a burnt IC marked 7603 (and ILCB in second line). I am unable to find the details/datasheet of this IC. I will be grateful if any of you can provide any information on the same.
    I am attaching the picture of my NUC board with burnt IC highlighted with red circle . I have found the same IC/Part number in another section of the board where the markings are clearly visible and I have highlighted the same with a green circle. Also, I tried tracing the connections to understand the functionality of this IC and it is captured in second picture.
    This IC's pin 8(&Pin7) seems to be an output that supplies a +5V bus which powers the Processor Fan, SATA drive as well as connect to the VCC +5V pins of VCCcore generation ICs (four of them) . This ICs Pin 1(and ping2) seems to be the input which is connected to the output of the one of the power switchers.

    So, this IC seems to be either a Low dropout liner voltage regulator or a MOSFET switch to control the +5V supply to the specific sections during power on sequence.

But, as long as it is a load switcher with low-on resistance , I will try to find an equivalent (Texas and others). Also, I believe that the original initial versions of Intel NUC 10i5 had a different chip but I could not get their details as I dont have access to the high resolution pictures of it.
        I am wondering whether I can simply use an externally wired Mosfet (with low on resistance) and connect it via wires to the traces.

        I am wondering how the one in my board got destroyed.(i.e root cause). I checked the fan as well as the SATA SSD and they were fine and not shorted. May be, one of the VCCCore chips has gone bad and it shorted the 5V Vcc bus leading to this problem(three of the VCCcore coils show 3.5 ohms to ground and the one supplying Graphics chip shows 6 ohms to ground) Or may this chip had QC issues.

          Thanks to your pointer , this Texas load switcher IC seems to be an equivalent to this 7603 as the pinout seems to match: https://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/TPS22975

            Yes, looks similar. Be sure that pin #3 = enable (ON) and is an ACTIVE HIGH signal is available on your board. Otherwise, worth a try.
