Hi Dear Friend., I am working on a Apple MacBook Pro A2338 820-02773-A. The history was that the AON Rail on the Trackpad connector JT400 was burnt. After I removed the burnt connector, I tested with the meter & no shorts. Connected the USB C power & all booted fine, no problems at all. I soldered a New TP connector put in the old trackpad with a brand new Flex cable. The laptop beeped in the start but no display. I removed the connector & the display was fine again. USED a known good Trackpad & a Flex cable, even with this still the same problem. I checked the connector whether it was soldered fine or not & all looked fine even I tested the pin continuity with the meter, all fine. What is causing this ??? I checked all the volts on the JT400, nothing abnormal. Can anyone help, thanks in advance???

Never mind dear friends., I was using a M1 trackpad with cable on the M2 laptop. TWO Totally different architectures. This is why my display was going off. I have ordered the correct one. Nice to know about this difference. A2238 M1 (2020) trackpad cannot be used on A2338 M2 (2022) & via versa. I think trackpad is aslo different & cannot be interchanged.

by veedoI have an Macbook Pro A2338 after small liquid damage, all working fine but keyboard was sticky so I have replaced palmrest for genuine second hand and now lid sensor doesn't recognize when I'm closing the lid. Display is always on, can't find sensor for that model, can someone explain my how does it work, where that flex is if there is any.
Maybe that the motherboard issue, not sure where to start.
