Re: Asus P4P800 Motherboard
Other than the need to reset the bios everytime it sounds like a power supply problem.
Does it behave the same way without resetting the bios?

Is it possible that the wrong value cap was used as a replacement?
"the caps around behind the VGA slot"??? The ones by the Northbridge?

Re: Asus P4P800 Motherboard
Hurrm....guys i think i really messup the caps 1500uf 6.3v 105*c to 1500uF 6.3v 85*c..... damn.... now i changed it to the same value...now the problem is the FET transistor getting hot (around 50-60*c) where you guys can see there is caps between the FET (left on VGA slot in the picture of the MOBO) is it the FET having problem or it was just normal coz now it can posting....Comment

by glovecapsHello,
I have a Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 (G533QM) that had a dead motherboard (Graphics card dead) and after trying to fix the motherboard with no success, I bit the bullet on a sale for a new motherboard. I ordered a motherboard for the 15 inch model which is the one that I have, and when the motherboard arrived it wasn't for a little while that I saw it was from the 17 inch model.
My question is, can I update the Bios on this G733 motherboard to a G533 Bios.
The reason for wanting to do this is that the keyboard isn't working as it should, and I think this... -
by momakaHere’s another motherboard that needed a full recap: an ASUS P5GC-MX.
This one was gifted to me some years ago by user Pentium 4, along with a few other goodies. It actually came in working order with no bulging or leaking caps. However, I noted there were United Chemicon KZG caps everywhere on the motherboard. The CPU VRM output (CPU V_core) was the only exception: it had only 2x KZG. The rest was 6x UCC TMV 4V 680 uF caps… which aren’t any good news either.
So here is what the motherboard looked like with its original caps:

by MakNCheeseHi everyone,
I'm having a serious issue with my ASUS Zephyrus GA401I (4 years old, worked perfectly until recently). The system is lagging heavily, even in the BIOS, and is charging extremely slowly (a few percent in hours), making it nearly unusable. I suspect a motherboard or power delivery issue.
Symptoms:- Severe lag across the system, including BIOS navigation.
- Slow boot times and unresponsive performance in Windows.
- Battery charges very slowly (e.g., ~5% in 2–3 hours).
- No error messages or BSODs, just extreme sluggishness.
What I've Tried:- Replaced

I've been attempting a repair of an Asus TUF H370 Gaming Motherboard. It fails to react to the power button being pressed, there's a debug light which confirms that there's standby power to the board but after any attempt to power on the components there's no sign of life. I've started my diagnosis and I know that the power-on... -
Hi,
Firstly I'd like to apologize if this was posted in the wrong forum (I'm new here)
Recently I got an ASUS M5A78L-M LX board in a scrap lot. Saw one broken cap which I've replaced. No broken traces and missing components. While soldering a new cap a bit of solder got onto components bellow SB (opposite of the two lythic caps). Didn't see it and powered the board on.
I was greeted with it not starting. Came back to it a day later and shorted the PS_ON with GND to force it on. It sprung to life but with CPU stuck in reset (it was an FX 4600 I believe). Thats when I saw the...12-14-2024, 10:48 AM - Loading...
