    rx6600xt

    I have a rx6600xt in the same situation.
    The first pin of npc81022 ( powerok) has 0 v, and doesn't activate the other and gates.

    I'm not sure if I can bridge with powergoods.

    I don't have the schematic for this gpu sapphire, and i dont know why I don't have power ok if all coils are marking good voltages.

    ¿Maybe gpu core dead?
    I see in a msi schematic powergood and powerok are bridged wwith a resistance, but in my gpu this place is empty.

    POWEROK is an output signal from the NCP81022.
    It will only go high if the chip is not dead and working correctly.

    You CAN'T bridge this signal to POWERGOOD signal from another buck controller regardless of what the MSI schematic say.

      It's dead gpu core or dead npc81022 Or what?

          It can be any or a combination of these:

          - dead NCP (almost never happen, imho)

          - dead VCORE mosfet driver
          - out of spec VCORE mosfet driver, or aging mosfets that are unable to meet the mosfet driver switching time requirements.

          - broken connection between VCORE mosfet driver and NCP.

          - broken connection between VCORE mosfet driver and the mosfets.

          - faulty current sensor, triggering OCP (over-current protection) of the NCP, so it is cutting off all PWM signals going to the VCORE mosfet drivers.

          - missing or out of spec component like a resistor or a capacitor (some caps have to exist to filter out noise, otherwise a chip can't work properly)

          Read the NCP datasheet and the mosfet driver datasheet to understand how they are supposed to work together.

          Be patient and check every components for anything that may look off/suspicious (discolored components, factory flux leaking out, green/white tarnished solder joints)

          Keep a repair journal so you don't forget things.

          Take a break and come back later.

            Sorry, I removed a resistance from pin 52.
            And then the card made a weird noise like a microwave, and then I have short in 1.35v,5v and 0.9v.Crazy thing is still working the gpu rail

            I'll try to remove gpu chip and see shorts go off

              Diagnosing South Bridge (FH82H370) on Asus H370-Pro Gaming Motherboard
              by Ross Kohler
              Hi,

              I'm learning about motherboard repair and I believe I've traced the issue down for the South Bridge on the particular motherboard I'm working on. My path of concluding that:
              - There's no sign of any attempt to power on when pushing the power button.
              - No PSON signal is reaching the 24-pin ATX connector.
              - The Super IO chip is receiving the PS_SWITCH signal from the power button and is relaying this signal back to the South Bridge.
              - The Super IO is not receiving the S_SLPS#_R signal back from the South Bridge
              - If I pull the Super IO S_SLPS#_R pin...

              How can I be sure that my EC chip is dead?
              by double_DD
              Hi all,

              As the title suggests, how can I be sure that my EC chip is really dead?

              I've recently gotten into this hobby of laptop repairs, and have successfully brought back to life a couple with some easy fixes, mostly shorted caps.

              Now I'm working on HP Probook 455 G8, that had some "devil" run around on 3V line, burning a bunch of stuff. Luckily I have a dead 455G7 (for spare parts) so I managed to fix it (swapped burned parts) to a point that it will charge (both on barrel jack and usb-c), but it doesn't want to turn on. There is a 3V3 on a keyboard...

              Asus H77 LGA1155 mainboard stopped working with Ivy Bridge CPUs
              by Roman555
              Bad symptoms when Ivy Bridge CPU (3rd-gen 22nm) is installed:
              • Won't boot OS (just blank screen or stucks at asus logo, monitor is turned on) with hangs at debug (post) code A3;
              • USB stick with MS-DOS can be loaded via F8 boot menu;
              • Other OSes won't load - hangs or goes reboot;
              • Postponed for several seconds reaction to Alt-Ctrl-Del, Reset and Power buttons;
              • An operating system starts loading but won't finish if it's left only 1 CPU core in BIOS settings;
              What I've already done and it hasn't helped:
              • Cleared CMOS many times;
              • Flashed different versions of BIOS in a CH341 programmer;
              • Updated

              ps5 edm-033 dead after hdmi/usb ports destroyed
              by disorder
              hello guys,

              i need help to repair a edm-033 ps2
              history : as always hdmi port and usb ports destroyed after unplugged
              after change them, ps5 dead too : 1 beep, no blue light. after inspection 1.8v power was shorted, and because of dead panasonic chip. after remove it : no short anymore
              so i changed it
              now i have got 5v stby,, 3.3v stby, 3.3v power, 1.8v power and no short on them
              but the ps5 is dead again : 1 beep, near 10 seconds with power lines and then off, no blue light ...

              i don't see any projection of liquid metal on pcb.
              ...

              Finding a dead short component
              by Beton
              Hi guys!
              I searched for the term "dead short" in the forum but no specific thread came up however if I'm just blind and couldn't see the thread talking about this please forward me to that direction.
              So my problem is I don't know how to find the source of a dead shorted voltage rail. Dead short = ~0 ohm resistance.
              I have two VGAs (HD 4850 and HD 4870), both dead shorted to ground on the memory rail. I have the boardview file for the 4870 and the memory rail consists around ~7892346 capacitors...
              I have a bench PSU and if I try to inject voltage the voltage...
