Just finished recapping my second MSI board. Didn't take any pictures of this one. For pictures of board layout, caps changed etc see my previous post https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1772 . They are identical.
All of the caps looked fine except for the Chhsi:s by the AGP slot, which had vented slightly. Was in fact running fine, but I recapped it anyway, as it was just a matter of time.
The recap was uneventful, it posted on the first attempt, and has completed the burn-in test without errors. When I first tested it, it refused to soft reboot however. Neither CTL-ALT-DEL or reset button would work. Power off and on worked. After pondering that for a moment, I removed the CMOS battery for a while, and put it back. That did the trick.
It goes back in its case later today. Another one saved.
