This is my 3rd 8KHA+ for replacing caps. This motherboard is also a bad caps at the bad list motherboard. The pictures are replaced with SAMXON caps.

The green are TEAPO. All Ultra Low ESR SAMXON capacitors are black background with golden letters.

I just used with a normal HAKKO 40W(red)soldering iron with 0.50mm solder only.

interesting to see you have success with the hakko. i recommended Neo2_000 to get a Hakko and he chose a 936-46 but wasnt happy with the heat. it wasnt powerful enough.

what model do you use and what size tip?

i use ersa analog 60 with standard chisel tip and 0.8mm solder

Teapo aren't good caps but they are the better brand of bad caps. Usually when they fail they don't bulge, but testing the Teapo caps are a way to prove they have failed.

It's a small world. I am actually working with a bloke at the moment who used to work for Computronics in Perth where I bought that Hako from. Still not quite sure what to do with it. Might give it to a local TV repair guy and see what he thinks. He was surprised when I told him about my problems with it.

Tried a dick smith cheapie a while ago at work and it seemed just fine but in all fairness, I was not working on a mobo with heavy pcb landmasses. But I have come to a new understanding with my old 10kg head Scope Thermal Axe Model. I just have to chop very gently with it!
