Hey guys so I switched up to this new Xfinity xb3 router although it seems nice and it's replacing my failing Asus 5g all my internet ports or at least my addresses are all 10.0.0. Something. All of this didn't bother me too much I can't figure out how to get into the router to address port forwarding so I can make my Synology DiskStation read in the house for plex Media Server. My Smart TVs are saying that they cannot connect to it anymore. Now does this have something to do with me and static or dynamic? And how the heck do I get into the router to address port forwarding rules? I can't seem to find any information on the IP address to get into the router. And people that say they have have had nothing but problems with port forwarding but I can't seem to find information on how to get in to start.

Re: xfinity xb3 router port forwarding
I've the XB3 (DPC3939) and it's complete crap. Beware that for port forwarding you WILL need to restart in order to view what you've just done or to fix\disable anything. For whatever reason it likes to quit displaying anything there after a day or so. I ended up shoving the thing into bridgemode and it hasn't given any trouble since.
The address for mine was 192.168.2.1 from the factory. One way to find what yours is running on is to run an ipconfig (or ifconfig) and see what the gateway is set at.
Example:
Wireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection 2:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : hsd1.ca.comcast.net.
Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::34b8:610f:361:b95b%16
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.101
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.1 <-- This would be the address for the modemComment

by fredyjbiI have a thinkpad L480 NM-B461 rev 1.0 laptop functioning normally with Type 1 port (JUSBC1)
if you use port type C 2 (JDOCK1) with a usb type meter it only displays 5v, thank you
I tried to look at the schematic diagram USBC_VBUS20, which is the port path from JusBC 1 to U4701 then goes to the system2 charging IC, why is there no system2 path leading to the charging IC on the TYPEC_VBUS20 port which is JDOCK1, thank you for your help.
if you look at the power sequence there must be 2 types of port type C a (JUSBC1) via U4701 and port type C b (JDOCK1)
On the type...4 Photos -
by CapLeakerI've got a bunch of Poly VVX-250 VOIP phones that work fine as kind as long as they are plugged into the wall wart. Recently I got around to install a couple of TP-Link 5 port POE switches that are added to the existing plain Jane 24 port unmanaged switch. Great!!! Finally I am able to ditch the wall warts from these phones making more space on the desk, plus I am gaining some badly needed power outlets. So I thought.
Plugged in the first VVX-250 into the POE switch, booted up no problem. Plugged in the other Poly phones and they start to boot anywhere from 5 to 15 seconds,...11-25-2023, 10:46 AM -
by ScarfycakeHi all,
I sent my ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED (H7600, 12th Gen Intel) to the local repair guys to have a very simple DC in port replaced. I sourced the part myself on accessoires-asus (french company) after struggling to find the right part in the UK. It looked completely the same to the installed part from what I can tell. Originally the only issue with the laptop was a bad / loose DC connection, and so the computer and battery acted completely normal aside from a very poor connection that would fail at certain angles. After the repair was completed I brought it home and used it for...5 Photos -
by GlenBrimI got this recently as-is. Gigabyte 1070 video card.
DVI port is removed. I don't know why.
A wire is soldered across two spots where it looks like the DVI port was. I don't know why.
I've read of people simply ripping out DVI ports and the rest of the cards still working fine. Never read anything about soldering a wire in there for some reason.
The card seems to work fine, except it's stuck in low clock speeds. While starting a game or benchmarking, the clocks may momentarily increase to around where they should be, then goes way back down and stays...2 Photos -
by rouninHi everyone,
I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.
🛠 Original Issue
The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.
I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.
