I need an answer to how to amplify my WiFi signal because it is so weak outside

I have a really bad situation right with a very weak WiFi signal outside of the house and I have been told that I can not have two routers on my modem because it cause issues so what is the solution for this issue

I can fix the garage door opener with a cat5 cable to device modem or at least that is what I call it and it works very well so far but by doing this I have no router in the garage and no WiFi signal inside the garage unless the door is open but it is extremely weak if not at all

The MyQ cameras can NOT hookup to a cell phone hotspot I have tried it need an IP address and a MAC address as well so this is not an option

This camera device from MyQ are a pain in the a** because they need at least 3 bars or more and I am extremely lucky if I one bar continuously but sometimes I have no signal at all and this might last for a few seconds to over a minute l have two extenders from Comcast modem and it helps inside the house but dose not seem to help outside

I want to know what is the solution for this problem I could not have the router for connecting the printers but this is not a real good solution either because I need to use the printer from time to time so this is not realistic option either

I could setup a sever but I do not have experience doing this would be a real challenging learning experience for me and I am not sure what I would need to be able to do this in the first place

What type would I need to use and would it work on my NETGEAR router

Or would this work and would I need three of them to be able for it to work one inside the house and two outside of the house because of it being directional I do not want to create a situation where my WiFi signal connection could be compromised or used because someone does not have a good WiFi signal connection and decides to use mine how to do I control this grant it my house is at least 250 feet or more from the road and the closest house to my house is at least 250 feet or more away as well

I going to limit how high I put the antenna up in the air to try to limit the range of the signal from my router

Now in the picture on this listing for this antenna they show a antenna next to a tv set and I am not sure exactly how they have it hooked up

Or would this be an option

no idea of exact situation . best start would be reading the manual for the router .
maybe first try home made ones like cantennas . pringles tin or similar and copper wire and etc . https://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Cantenna

          Maybe some commercial things like
          https://www.netgear.com/home/wifi/ra...ders/wn3000rp/
Wifi range extender for wall socket, called also wifi repeater
Or some amplifier on external antena existing signal
          https://www.wiserepeater.com/wifi-am...-1-watt-15-db/

Some router have options to use it like in repeater mode also, so you can connect it with main router like that to extend area coverage.

There are devices caled wireless access point
          https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...WL_2100AP.html

I just hear that this device exist, but dont know howto set it up.

Is the router connected to the modem with a network cable?
I have 2 routers off one modem, one just a standard router and the second one is for the wi-fi

just make sure the second one has a different ip address then the first and turn off dhcp on the second router. no one else can access your wireless router if they don't know the password

directional antenna's at both ends will help signal and security

Ubiquity wifi bridges or access points are your friend.

Hi everyone, over the past few months i have taken a deep dive into motherboard diagnostics and I love the challenge. Currently im trying to learn all about the signals that travel around the motherboard, such as frequencies, enable signals High and Low logic states etc. And i have been learning to read and using the Schematics for this board that i requested here on Badcaps forum, from a few months ago, this is such a great place for these.

I’ve been working on a GA-970A-DS3 (rev. 1.0) that does not post. This motherboard has been my main learning board. I would like share...

                      Failure Symptom

No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.

                      Where is the short?

Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

Having recently fixed another Vizio with similar symptoms that was a shorted ESD diode array ( link ) Probed the ESD diode array but...

What is a normal composite signal range for a C64?
                      by Scruit
                      Hello all,

Working on my first C64 / Breadbin / 250407. Purchased as non-working. Getting black screen.

More detail below, but for those that want to get right to the question.... Here are a few waveforms comparing the Pin15 output on the VIC chip (luma/sync) to the pin 4 on the AV socket (composite signal).

                      https://imgur.com/gallery/PpqcqPY

My question is: Is the composite waveform range of 0.1v-1v too low for a c64?

                      More detail:

Symptoms are that that I get...

PS4 fat has inconsistent signal after HDMI replacement
                      by supravit2000
                      Hi, guys!

I am not a professional, all I can do is solder stuff on the boards, so I would really appreciate it if someone with knowledge shares his experience/thoughts on a problem I have with a PS4 console.

My friend gave me an original fat PS4, board model SAB-001, with WLOD, that has been previously opened. I changed the HDMI port, couple of pads on the board were ripped, which I connected to the corresponding caps/resistors? Just did so as in a shown diagram (one of the ground pads I ripped off and left it not connected). However, there was still no signal, so...
