    Gnr TG700H power problem

    Hi,
Having major problems with this Gnr TG700H monitor. Its the famous 1 second display problem, comes on for 1 second and then quickly shuts down. I have openned it up and ALL the rubycon caps are in pristine condition!
The whole power board looks in very good condition with no darkened areas. The soldering joints look OK.
I just replaced all the capacitors anyway with absolutely no joy.

A friend also has a similar monitor with a slightly different problem - dim display. The monitor comes on but display is very dim.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

I'd suggest searching for my posts on the 'Two Seconds to Black' issue and start checking out the possibilities. Post good pictures of the front and back of the inverter after reading these instructions.

OK, thanks Bill. Like alot of people on this site, my talents are only limited to replacing caps! I wish I could trouble shoot and do other things .

Don't sell yourself short -- if you can replace caps, then you are certainly capable of performing more troubleshooting provided you have basic test equipment (for example, a DMM or VOM). You have access to a lot of resources here (particularly the history of troubleshooting others' problems here in the forums), so take the time to read, read, read! When you get to a point where you are stuck or want clarification, ask a specific question and there are many here to help.
