    No luck my friend...

I change the FET, Resistor, the Fuse and the 47uF Cap and no 5VDC in the output...

    Any new idea?

Measure the transformer for open windings. I found a diagram of SPW-055

I think, but not 100% sure, you should measure 5 to 6 and 7 to 8. Both ohms measurements should be the same.

You might also want to carefully measure the voltage on the secondary pins to see it outputting anything.

Careful with pins 1-4. They are mains voltage.

The diagram says that the transformer has 8 pins, but here it has 11 pins.
I see the main voltage input, but hard to identify which pins are the right output voltage.

Just one thing, I have 308Vdc going to Pins 1 and 3 take a GND as a reference. Pin 4 I have GND. Measuring in the other side, no reading at all, looks like a bad transformer... what do you think? Shall I remove it from the PCB to take a better look?

          Tks!

It could be a bad transformer.

            Check out

The interesting part starts at post #9 (but read everything).

That poster has no voltage on the other side of the transformer as well. I had you do a similar test on your SMPS controller earlier when we measured that 7 pin IC on the back.

Sorry! GND is not on Pin 4 but on Pin 5.

On Pin 4 there was nothing.

Can I get a focused shot of the front board? The one that you posted earlier at

is too fuzzy to read the board designations.

Okay, I found a thread that might be helpful here. Please read it through carefully and maybe 2 or 3 times.

                    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=10221

I think it is useful for a couple of reasons.

                    1) In post #15, PlainBill goes through and describes in detail (thank you) how the 5V works. So it is definitely worth studying to see how it can be possibly applied assuming the overall design is similar.

                    2) It gives some more ideas on things to test.

While searching for "spw-055" I came across two Viewsonic 19 inch monitors that use this transformer and I found service manuals with schematics for both.

The board in the Viewsonic is close but not identical. They are at

The nice thing in both is there is a troubleshooting flowchart for DC output unstable.

There is also a schematic with the SPW-055 with its 11 pins that should help tremendously. Again, the boards are not identical, but I think close enough for troubleshooting purposes.

I saw that too, but in an earlier test, he measured 11V on pin 5 and 0V on pin 6. The datasheet for NCP1337 says pin 5 is a output driver and 6 is a VCC IC supply.

One thing that has been bugging me is the 0V on pin 6 when I reread some of the tests that have been done.

If I find one like this to buy, can fix my problem and I can have more time to fix the bad board... Someone knows were I find one like this?

Test pin 8 and 9 on the transformer. They should be shorted according to the schematic. You should get a reading of less than 1.0 ohm.

                                    Let's take this side as a secondary, all the pins (6 , 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 , 11) are shorted and they measure less then 1.0 ohm between each other.

When the transformer is installed in the PCB, it shorts 6-7 than 8-9 than 10-11. (see picture available)

                                      Guys,

Something is no good on this transformer or before it. When I take a GND as a reference, I have 308V in the pin 1 and 308V on pin 3, but nothing in the output. Also, If I check voltage between pins 1 and 3, no voltage. Is this not DC voltage?

                                      Tks!

PS. I tested this on a working LCD. If I put my black on a ground screw on the secondary side and red on the middle pin of my dual diode, I get 5V DC.

Looking at page 69 of the schematics (vx1945wm-3.pdf), pins 8 and 9 go right into D805. You should get 5V DC. If not, either the diode is bad or the transformer isn't working.

You can double check the dual diode by using the diode check on your multimeter. Test it like any normal diode. I believe the middle pin is your negative.

I just got this tv today and it appeared to have no backlight on. After taking off the rear cover and checking again in the dark I can see that MAYBE one quadrant is lit.. But still it's quite dim. I was going to check the LEDs with my tester, and I found LED 1 and LED 2 + pins on the wire from the inverter, but I couldn't identify a ground. Nonetheless I tried using a mounting screw on the inverter board and also the chassis as ground but regardless my tester reads 300 which is what it reads when there is no voltage draw.

I don't know how exactly to test the inverter itself. Is it...

                                            Hello,

I know that this is probably a long shot, but I figured if anyone could find this BIOS, it would be you guys.

I am working on an (old) eMachines T6520 desktop PC that might have a corrupt BIOS.

                                            Model:
                                            eMachines T6520

                                            Motherboard markings:
                                            MS-7145B0505068731

                                            Symptoms:
The computer does power on, CPU fan spins, but does not POST. No display.

                                            Troubleshooting steps so far:
Replaced the CMOS battery (which was in need of replacing)

I have a tripp-lite aspint 3636vr inverter charger which blow some of mosfet transistors. I replaced them repaired also the driver circuit and tested but the mosfets burn again.

It work very well as inverter and also as charger if I let the rear switch in auto mode (inverter) and charger only(charging) but in auto when I connect the feed line 220V AC first time it pass ok to line and start charging the batteries but when I remove the feed line it pass to inverter mode and if I do it again the second time when passing from charging to inverter the Main transformer start making a...
