    Envision EN7410

I've got a new broken one - 17" Envision EN7410. No camera today, so I'll describe everything. Pictures tomorrow.

Problem with this one is that it randomly powers down after 5-10 minutes of use. The panel wasn't too difficult to take apart, two screws in the bottom corners and 3 hidden latches per side. Easiest to start at the bottom. Opened with a letter opener and a small cross point screwdriver, but I think I'd recommend a pair of smallish flat screwdrivers. The panel itself says 'Quanta'. To get the power/inverter board out, 6 plugs, 4 under some shiny tape, and 4 screws must be removed from a metal box unit. Flip it over and 4 more screws and removing a sheet of plastic will get the power/inverter board out. The power/inverter board has the text:

    E187621
    JIA HE
    D 94V0 (or 94VO)
    0513

    p/n: AS02B012DC2

The power/inverter board is populated with CapXon capacitors, 2 of which are swollen and ugly, near a MOSFET, I believe.

Here's the list of Capacitors (date code C506 so June 2005?)
    C24 470uF 25V KF/105C 10x13mm (near inverter)
    C114 100uF 400V KF/105C
    C320 10uF 50V KF/105C 4x8mm
    C661 470uF 25V KF/105C 10x13mm (swollen)
    C662 ??? has rubber shield over it ??? W-1 CS 8x12mm
    Very close to L660
    C664 470uF 25V KF/105C 10x13mm (swollen)

I was planning on using either Nichicon HEs or Panasonic FCs, depending on what I have on hand - and what fits. After that, if it still powers off, I'll reflow the transformer points (and there's two on this one, a big one (near the MOSFET) and a little one (near the AC Input).

    Thanks!
Working...
