    HP Z27S Horizontal Lines

Hello ! I have an HP Z27S display here, top of the line 4k monitor from 2017 that sold for about 900$ Canadian, still under warranty and hp denies repair.. Anyway, that's another story.

Here's a picture of what it does, ive torn this thing apart and i was wondering if anyone has seen a similar issue, or have any clues of what could be causing this. Bad caps in psu ? I've tried heating and freezing the boards, either psu or the input board and no difference. I've noticed the issue is also present on the OSD of the monitor, with no input signal connected. Caps seem good visually. Any pointers would be really appreciated !! thanks

    Re: HP Z27S Horizontal Lines

why does HP deny repairs, It looks like a panel issue, A power supply problem would likely cause a problem over the whole screen not just part of it.
Did you happen to buy it used or refurbished?

It's a customer's screen and i can't find the invoice for it. HP asks for the receipt.. What a pain. Anyway, you think the panel itself is bad ? :|

That would be my guess, What happens if you change the screen resolution to something else, does that have any effect on the lines?

Id have to swap boards to see any difference, indo have a few of these lcds here.

What would be bad on the panel itself? buffers on the input board or something that can be replaced?

these z27s suffer from this problem, ive seen many of them.

Ill check for any change with resolution and report back. thanks

Hello ! It seems resolution changes have no effect at all on the panel's issue. I've also tried freeze-spraying or heating the pcb that's on the panel itself and the problem is still there !

Anyone has an idea if it really is a panel issue, and if so, what could be bad on a LCD Panel ? Would it be one of the components on the pcb that's on the input panel? Thanks

Hello, im bumping this up.. Still have this monitor here and it'd be a shame to trash it. Anyone can chime in and has a clue what can be causing this? If its the panel, is it a faulty component on the small input board where the flat cable connects to? It needs to be fixable, its a very expensive lcd..

The panel looks ok to me, it has BL and no regional defeceits. I would have to say it's an issue on the built in T-con board.

Ok, you mean the little board on the panel itself? bad components? can it be fixed?

                        ASUS VA27EHE randomly unstable
                        by Sharx112
Hello community. I've got an ASUS VA27EHE with a Panda LC270lf1l01 panel that started to behave strangely. A bit of intro:
If you power on the monitor without any inputs it turns on, displays the ASUS logo, shows no signal and goes into standby normally. When you plug it via HDMI sometimes and more recently, most of the times, it distorts the bios logo with horizontal lines, then when loading into windows 50-50 the windows emblem also is in horizontal lines. And after the system loads it almost always works properly, lol. On some rare occasions a part in the top of the monitor is being distorted...

                        HI ALL
i have the above board 715G7282-P01-001-0H3S WHICH SHOWS horizontal lines.

on power board i noticed 3 capacitors that changed color.
these 3 capacitors are connected to the positive side of main capacitor.
i have no schematic and i do not know the values.
                        those are c921,922,923.
                        c921 is removed.
                        how can i substitute.

                        thanks...

Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34" - Horizontal lines
                        by Kikerumbo
                        Hello everyone,

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I have a Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34". A few weeks ago it started to show (or not showing) horizontal lines. Of course, it's outside of the warranty period.

After some hours of reading and watching videos I disassembled the monitor and checked the ribbons that go from the TCON board to the panel PCB. If I disconnect the ribbon for the right side of the panel, the other half shows a perfect image. I ordered a "new" TCON, installed it and the issue persists so that tells me it must...

ACER BM320 Monitor - Horizonal Flickering Lines After a While
                        by reessi
                        Hello,

The monitor started off showing flickering thin (1 pixel) lines horizontally every say 3mm..

They are black on the right and gradually fade to nothing on the far left.
They start either after 5 mins or up to 2 hours after so annoying for testing.
They flicker continuously very fast! With a slight pause milli-second every second.

Initially I cleaned the LVDS cable and connected to the T-Con and then it worked fine for 3 weeks but not sure if this was just co-incidence.

I tested each half by removing the first the left flex from...

I just acquired this 3D LED yesterday and it has horizontal lines on a little more than half of the screen. When I first turn it on it has thin black lines going across that makes the image look serrated, and then shortly after patterns of thicker red lines fade in. If I turn it off and right back on it will reset to just the black lines and the red will again fade onto the screen.

I initially thought tab bonds, but flexing the bezel makes no difference, and the fact the image sort of resets after cycling power is different. I haven't opened it up yet to actually test applying...
