Hi guys, a friend brought me an ond Benq FP72E 17'' monitor which he says died over night and wont turn on anymore. No stdby led, no backlight, nothing....
Power board model: 4H.L2T02.A00
Mainboard model: 4H.L1C01.A31
Anyhow, PSU seems to work, or partially, it provides 5.2V and 3.4V on CN701 (to mainboard). Also, it provides 16V D701 and 5.2V D702,two main shotkey diodes, where 16V is probably for backlight. There is 16V present on two mosfets before two backlight transformers but there is no voltage on OZ9938 IC (backlight controller).
I did try to feed it +5V to VCC pin and to chip enable pin - but no backlight
Voltages on CN701 (to mainboard):
pin voltage
1 1.3v
2 0
3 0
4 0
5 0
6 0
7 5V
8 5V
9 NC
10 3.4V
11 3.4V
The voltages on touch buttons are present +3,4V but the power/stby led only has 0.2 0.3V.
Strange thing is when i press power button to turn the monitor on it goes from +3.4V to +2.3V (shouldn't it drop to 0V) ?
So does anyone have any ideas, or has had similar problems. I know its an old crap of 17'' monitor, but i wanna keep it out of the garbage bin
