Who do you trust on Ali Express? (Dell 2408WFPb TCON)

    Hi All,

First off - I'm thinking that the problem is the TCON board based on other posts from all the clever individuals I've read here on Badcaps (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...=Dell+2408wfpb,

but I'm open to other suggestions

First pic is not mine, but its the same as what I see, except mine is much dimmer and I cant take a good picture of it. Rest are mine. Displaying Red Green Blue and White test patterns I see a repeatable pattern, vertical lines of R G B are missing, resulting in Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow on the White pattern. This happens after being on for 1 min. Everything works fine at first startup then looks like the pics

Real question is: I see people have had problems ordering from AliExpress. Has anyone had a good experience from a particular vendor that would sell this board ? (ltm240cs05ffcc4lv0.4.)

this is a few that come up... any suggestions are appreciated.

Also I live in Canada, which is a problem ordering from american vendors sometimes because of the CRAZY shipping rates, I guess due to customs fees etc. Not sure how China vendors can offer free shipping since the US is so much closer.

Not a particular seller, but i've been ordering from Aliexpress for a few years. Never really had any issues and the couple of times either a part was the wrong one, or quantity off, i have either had a discount or the correct part sent.

The Chinese government subsides their postage, hence the cheap rates.

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
      by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

LG 82UN8570AUD ~ TCON or PANEL?
      by kca
      Hello all ~

Hope this finds you well. This LG 82UN8570AUD (April 2021 model) 4K UHD television has full audio capabilities but video is compromised / problematic.

When I picked up this large LG tv it had a full black screen upon startup. Previous owner said it just went black one day. No popping sound or anything else of note.

I got the display to work by taping off several traces of the right-hand side ribbon cable on the TCON that leads from TCON to PANEL. However, despite dozens and dozens of attempts to find the right combination / range of traces taped...

Dell Pro 13 Plus PB13250 Bios Unlock
      by Akhlz001
      Hi,

Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000. However after FF the section starting from '01000' upto 2000 bits and then soldering the chip back it seems that the microchip on the motherboard is recovering the bios back to original settings after first boot. Has anyone found a way to crack this extra layer of security Dell have implemented? Seems both HP and Dell have upped bios security to match Lenovo by implementing extra measures on a separate...

Dell Inspiron 5590 Board 18778-1 no charging, charging not possible
      by master3112
I would like to share my experience about charging issues with Dell power supplies with the tech community. I am working on a Dell Inspiron 5590, Mainboard 18778-1 with charging problems. The device can be switched on and works so far, only the message appears at startup:

Alert! The AC power adapter wattage and Type cannot be determined. The battery may not change. The System will adjust the performace to match the power available.

The power supply unit is not recognized in the Bios and the charging process is set to "idle". I use original Dell battery, type...

TCL 50S535 bad tcon or panel issue?
      by x_orange90_x
Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...
