    Hanns G HG191A monitor

This lcd display went through my hands, no questions really as the problem was a faulty ccfl tube which got replaced with one from another display I had around so it works now.

It's just that it was a bitch to open and put back together (involved 20+ minutes of using plyers to cut metal back so the ends of the new lamp would fit) so I figured it would be worth to at least post a picture of the power supply inside and the bad ccfl tube.

Elite caps everywhere, they look ok so I didn't bother changing them.. it's a "value" lcd monitor anyways with poor view angles and just 1366x768

audio input is a crappy dip package amp, didn't bother to remove the "heatsink" off it.... the vga board is probably the plain generic vga board, couldn't be bothered to remove the vga connector screws to pull it out.

In case it helps someone finding this thread through google, the panel worked with the display board and power supply from a 20" lg monitor I had with bad panel.

    psu

    bad ccfl

sound amp and display board (back)

    great success

That power supply looks exactly the same to what was in a HP W19b monitor I fixed a few years back. Mine had a white screen due to shorted ceramic cap on t-con board. The Elite EB caps were fine when I checked them. Overall, this particular PSU runs cool, so I don't expect there to be too much problem with the Elite caps... not any time soon anyways.

ChiMei by any chance? In my experience, their panels have the worst viewing angles I have seen.
