^ That above is assuming you want me to follow the picture you've attached.
Also, my meter only reads in OHM... :/Last edited by Soisauss; 06-26-2013, 10:08 PM.Comment

Black probe on 1 and red probe on for example the one I mark as #2 will be any one of those 4 pins since all those 4 pins in the circle are connected together. As you can see, the 4 pins on the right side of the MOSFETs are tied together.Never stop learning

Okay, here are my readings. Using the same meter I've posted and using the green numbers on the meter.
The setting were set to x1K ohms
Meter probe on 1 (color does not matter), then check the reading between
1 and 2 = 15
1 and 3 =15
1 and 4 = 6
1 and 5 = 6
Meter probe on 6 (color does not matter), then check the reading between
6 and 2 = 2.5
6 and 3 = 2.5
6 and 4 = .6
6 and 5 = .6Comment

They do look bad, but I forget to tell you to use x100 Ohms scale for checking, sorry about that. Can you test it again? Also try reversing the leads of the meter so you will report 4 set of readings.Never stop learning

Re: WestingHouse 19" 19w4 LCD monitor- DAC-12M030
Not sure how you read the scale to be the same as 1K range to get 0.6 on x100 scale, the 0.6 = 60 Ohms, 2.8 = 28 Ohms.
At this points I would suggest to replace ALL 4 MOSFETs.Never stop learning

Just type in AO605 in EBAY search and select US only on the left pane. I.E.

by momakaNormally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow.
But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though.
I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

by momakaHere's another LCD monitor repair: Westinghouse L2210NW.
Quick specs: 22” CCFL backlit LCD, 1680x1050 max resolution (16:10 aspect ratio)
I got it with a bunch of desktops PCs from a repair shop that was trying to free up space a few years ago. It seemed like a cheap monitor, so I didn't really care that much at first when I picked it up (and indeed it is, picture-wise.) But hey, free is free, so I can't complain. Moreover, it looked clean and the screen didn't have any significant scratches or blemishes.
Pictures of the monitor outside/case after a brief...-

by wattageHello Badcaps Community,
I purchased a preowned AOC monitor that is not working and out of warranty. It was sold as not working. I am looking for guidance on self-repair. In particular, I am after the firmware for the monitor. At the end, I have included monitor model information and links to pics and vids of the issue.
The problem is that it will not display a picture on any of its inputs. And the on-screen menu does not appear. The power button works properly. It powers on with the remote as well. But the on-screen menu does not appear, even when not connected to any...-

by Rick_1234Good evening, gentlemen.
I have a problem with my monitor. It turns off after a few seconds or flickers. Shining a flashlight on the screen doesn't show any image, so I guess it's not the "2 seconds to dark" I read in the forum.
To turn it back on, I have to press the power button twice. Then after a few seconds it turns off again or flickers. See video.
