Lcd monitor has 1" wide vertical line

My Acer lcd monitor model AL1714B powers up just fine however I'm seeing a 1" wide section almost dead center running vertically from top to bottom of screen.

Screen is great except no signal in 1" vertical section center.Color is greyish white

There are three of these listed on Ebay, two black and one silver.
Two are under $10, ATM, one is just over $30, all said to be working.
