Re: Samsung T220 : no power at all

Hello i did not want to open a new thread for this, i have the same problem, monitor does not power on, the button does not come on or the screen. I took it apart and saw that there were two bad capcitors (16V 1000 uF). I replaced them with working ones (tho i only had 10V 1000 uF, my friend who is electronic guy told me thats ok). After that everything is the same, no power at all. I tested both fuses (red and green one), and i measured voltage on the board where vga and dvi adapters are, and all seem ok just like the pins say (5v 3v etc). What else can i check?

you really need to replace them with 16 volts capacitors going down in voltage ie the 10 volts like you have been advised is ok is never a good idea going up in voltage is usually fine though replace them with 16v 1000 uf then we can start trouble shooting further if needed.

Is your power supply/inverter board is EXACLTY the same as shown in post 1? If it is, then check the DC Voltage right at the two legs of that big main filter cap and report the readings.

Yes it is the same, and i have allready measured output voltage (5v 3v 12 v), so i think that part is ok, and i cannot tell you exact voltage on the big cap because i got a shitty voltmeter (measures 250V max ). Is there anything else i can check right now? Ty...

please upload pics using manage attachments jpgs less than 3mb are good

Have you checked voltages on the little conn. on the low side on the first photo in this thread? There are 3 voltage regulators on the main board, IC601/2/3, check their datasheet and them, if are ok consider to buy another main board (video input board)

Re: Samsung T220 : no power at all

                    Hi,
I have same issue with my T220, no power (300 DC voltage across the 100uf 450V main cap and low voltages to CN2).
                    I have 2 caps C301 and C302 bloated, and i replaced with 2x 1000uF 25 V.
Again, no power led light, and i start to check the D104 and D105. D104 shows continuity between the anode 1 and the cathode and i replace.
Now my T220 is working again.
Thx again to all for sharing.
