    Buy lamps from?

Ok, I would seem that my seach skills are severely lacking as I can not seem to locate someone that sells lamps for monitors.

Or does everyone just collect used ones?

    Thanks,

Other sources are ccfldirect.com and ebay.

          Re: Buy lamps from?

Ccflwarehouse.com has the most feedback (positive) from forum members here. I believe Toasty (a long time member) has experience with ccfldirect.com.

I have had good experiences with ebay in general (not ccfls), but not everyone shares this viewpoint. However, I'm a careful shopper, check out the ebay seller, and generally bid on low $$$ items.

Sinotec LCD TV Model ST-42KC42F "CCFL lamps not switching on"
            by angelos
            Hi Guys,
It's been a while that i have been active on the forum, sorry for that. My primary job has been keeping me quite busy.
The above set starts up with sound working just fine but the CCFL lamps (Inverter) runs for one second and switches off.
My 24V supply is steady and the ON/OFF pin to the inverter is at +5V.
The only thing i see is the PWM signal pin is at +5V without any square wave being emitted. Is this normal? as far as i can remember there needs to be a square wave pulse there. Am i right?

I will now measure with my oscilloscope probe on...

            line powered filament LED lamps...
            by eccerr0r
I was playing with one of those "filament" LED lamps. I noticed it seemed to flicker a bit...so I tried powering it with different things to try to extract information about it - noticed it seems to be 100% LED - no droppers, no PSU, no rectifiers, nothing - the LED "filaments" are hooked straight to the contacts!

Wondering what's the distribution of how "filament" LED lamps are driven? Do any have capacitive droppers? rectifiers? CC PSUs?

            ---

Found another "filament" LED that does have a PSU in it, seems to be a capacitive...

Lg 55lb6000 lamps replaced -new issue after
            by sputnikoff
I had a lg 55lb6000 in for no backlight issue.Well i replaced them all as usual and took extra care with panel. When i reassembled all look well until i hooked up the hdmi source, there was slow motion blur on laft side about 1/4 of screen.I initially suspected t-con and had one so that wasn't it.I replaced main board also as i had one,no go.I ended up ripping those 4 tabs of panel and full brightness and screen returned to normal.Anyone else have experience like this?

            Samsung Syncmaster 943B problem
            by falcontech
            Hello
I have a problem with a samsung 943B, initially thinking it was a power problem i replaced the power board which is a bn44-00082e, i had a flashing of the ccfl lamps and the monitor would not start, i replaced the power board and the problem is remained, thinking they were the lamps I tested them with a ccfl lamp tester and they are all working, at this point I think it is the main board which is a BN41-01172B, my question is, before making a further purchase there is a way to turn on the lamps without the main board to exclude that the new power board is also broken? Of course without...

Help on Samsung Syncmaster T220 dead ccfl lamp
            by mikey5791
            Hi,

This monitor previously is my main working monitor which i have been using for 8~9 years. Yesterday, when i switched on my pc from fresh to power on, the monitor is just black no display. I started dismantle to look inside the monitor power board but nothing looks suspicious or burnt. So i took my external ccfl inverter to try to power the monitor ccfl lamps which consisted of 2 lamps on upper part and 2 lamps on the lower part.

Found out the upper ccfl lamp which is supposed to connect to cn304 on the power board did not light up. Then i installed a used working...
