My default setting for the brightness is 100 before. Now it just black out the power led is turned blue, but when i lowered the brightness to around 80% it the display shows and does not go black. If I set the brightness again to 100% I can hear a click sound and then black out. What seem to be a the problem? Thanks in advance for any reply.

Re: Viewsonic VA1918wm Problem
The standard procedure here is to post clear focused pictures of all your boards using the manage attachments functions so the pictures are attached to this forum. Please do not post inline because it slows down the loading of pages.
After you have posted the pictures using manage attachments, we can suggest test points or see if the caps are known bad series.--- begin sig file ---
If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.
We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.
Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

Re: Viewsonic VA1918wm Problem
You have one obviously bulging capacitor right next to that heatsink in the middle. What does it say on it?
Also please update your profile with your location so we can suggest a parts distributor in your area.Originally posted by PeteS in CARemember that by the time consequences of a short-sighted decision are experienced, the idiot who made the bad decision may have already been promoted or moved on to a better job at another company.Comment

Re: Viewsonic VA1918wm Problem
Hmm that is why we usually recommend changing all caps - if one has gone others follow
hopefully you havent caused damage/weakness to other components by leaving them.
Please update profile with country and voltagePlease upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double... -
