One of my first repairs of these Benq style power/inverter boards, I did not resolder the inverter transformer pins and 24 hours after my repair, the picofuse blew again. So I have first hand observations.

Here is a technical explanation ...

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

        1) Start a NEW thread for this monitor since this is a xplio monitor.

        2) In the new thread, attach (see my sig file below) clear focused pictures of your boards.

        3) Try to use some proper punctuation and write in full sentences. Twitter style, poor grammar, etc, is likely not to get you any help.

          Thanks for the link.

So the fuse was dead. You couldn't tell by looking at it. All the components are in now.
I wasn't able to clean much of the charred material off. Hopefully that doesn't create a problem.

          Tomorrow is test day.
