Dell SE198WFPf Bright Horizontal Band on Top Third of the Screen

Hello,

Saw one other person in this forum with a horizontal band on a Hannspree, but no fix. The band is there all the time with either DVI or VGA signals. I have an ESR meter, have checked caps, and all are still very good. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Most probably the Screen itself, and replacement would be the solution.

Have you tried reseating the flat ribbon cable from the logic board to the LCD control board at both ends? Bad solder connection on logic board? If not, then it's probably an issue with the LCD control board.
