Ever seen an LCD do this?

I've not seen these fading vertical white lines before, and want to know if I write off the LCD as bad or what?

    Thanks!

You can consider that screen bad, but a lot of new replacement lcd are less than $100 on ebay.

        Laptop LCD model number
        LTD154EX0V
        or
        LTN154X1-L02

I say Or because I have 2 identical laptops, both have bad screens, and these are the two models of screen in them.

I found a used LTN154X1-L03 for $45 shipped, so I would really like to know if it's fully compatible...

        Thx

Lenovo P14s Gen 5 SVP unlock

This sums up discussion related to Lenovo P14s Gen5 in this thread. Credits go to Sbaro and especially Maxpower3. The locked dump is attached.

The device is based on NM-F871 motherboard with Nuvoton NPCK397 series controller. The motherboard also contains three BIOS chips: two different Winbond chips for main BIOS and external EC flash, and also a Gigadevice chip which purpose I do not know. The password information is contained directly in controller and thus can be manipulated by reprogramming it, so reprogramming BIOS chips is technically not required, however you may wish to make...

          Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
          by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

LG 47LN577 with black fading horizontal evenly spaced lines
          by Andriod
So, I have searched the internet for long, high and low and ended up here.

As the title suggests; there are static repeating black-ish horizontal lines that start from the left and fades away at around 65% toward the right, meaning its length is more than half the screen. The lines are from top to bottom evenly spaced. I can see the lines on the test image, and on chromecast input.

This is my first time investigating TV errors at this level, and my initial googling led me to believe it was the T-CON board, considering that it has a left-ish problem. But googling even...

          Samsung QN50Q60t lines on screen
          by jeyoung12
          Hi all
I have lines on the screen...which is an age old problem that can be remedied by watching Youtube videos and getting out the tape.
My issue (after successfully fixing a different sammy tv with a separate tcon board and isolating the side of the panel...):

This tv has an integrated tcon...so it is a bit more confusing when trying to isolate the clocks.
It has a c ribbon and i have taken each end out to see if that will isolate the lines. instead, it makes it much worse ALL over the tv!

So....i don't know what end of the C ribbon to work with...

bug of the month: write caching setting for the hard drive in device manager
          by ChaosLegionnaire
i recently bought a new wd re4 2tb with 2014 datecodes. when i got around to testing it tho in victoria hd tester, the write speed was very slow at 14 mb/s with a 256 sector transfer size. when i increased the transfer size to 1024 sectors, the write speed increased slightly to 44 mb/s. read speeds and sector verify speeds were fine and at normal speeds.

so i just ass-u-med the drive's poor performance was due to it being an advanced format drive and i was using it on winxp. when i tried cloning my system disk to this wd re4 2tb drive and writing to it in linux, the write speed...
