If both lamps are not showing the same problem, try swapping the inverters/lamp cables.

      that whole unit is mitsubishi.
i can tell by looking at the board pics.
if both tubes are running swap them on the inverter and see what it does.
had a mitsubishi in here last month that was sick at power up and improved slightly after 10 minutes of warmup.2 new ccfl tubes later it looks new again.

uugh i am heading for longest repair award.

can you tell me what to do about the rubber bits at the end of the tube, am i supposed to ease them back to enable desoldering of tube or is it going to be impossible? it is rather difficult.

also what kind of tape to use to secure wire to back of mirror, is normal electrical tape fine?

its ok, they pull back eventually and i did not use tape to secure wire.

i carefully slice the heatshrink and peel it off.those white rubber blocks absob impacts and are hv insulation.also make sure the reflective film is still stuck to the metal.if it curls you get uneven lighting.
the heat does in the glue.

Eizo FS2333 flickering and dim backlight. How to open it?
                by Xan03
                Hi everybody,

my 11 year old Eizo FS2333 started having issues today for the first time, the backlight suddenly got very dim and started flickering. I thought that I could run the monitor at 40-50% brightness as a stopgap (100% normally) but even then it flickers a lot. I'm guessing it's failing capacitors on the power board. The boards for this monitor look like this:

Looking for a flyback transformer for an Eizo TX-C7 MA-791 17" CRT
                by retrotechrestoration

I just saved this magnificent RGB input Eizo Flexscan TX-C7 MA-791 from the local e-waste...good news, the tube works and the board looks great...the bad news, it sounds like the flyback is shorted. (Turns on...perfect picture...systemic high voltage crackling heard while the picture flickers...then it blows the 5A fuse in my isolated A/C power supply.)

Anyone have any leads on possibly finding a replacement? (photo shows the flyback model numbers)...

EIZO CX270 - No signal but Backlight and Panel works, logo works, admin menu works. OSD doesn't. What?!
                by vf fa
Hi, so i guess I´ll have to make a new topic here, as i browsed through hundreds of other threads but couldn't find a solution to my problem yet.

I got a EIZO CX270 from a friend. He said it doesn't work anymore and wont display any signal or take any OSD inputs. Well, as an aspiring photographer I couldn't say no, could I? Thought it was an easy game, replace a bad cap and have a working monitor. But nooope, it wasn't supposed to be this easy.

So let me start with the problem description. I'll try my best not to skip anything so this might get rather long.

                B&K 707 tube tester. I need help.
                by DCJack
                Hi everyone!

I managed to get my hands on a rough condition B&K 707 for "the best price" because it was not working. It's my first tube tester and I'm really wanting to get it up and running. I downloaded that manual that has the schematics and tested every resistor and capacitor and replaced the ones that failed. I replaced the missing 83 rectifier tube with a used but tested-good one. I also have a number 80 rectifier tube that I have used in tests before I found the 83 tube.

Initially I noticed that I was not getting the red on-light to turn on, but it...

"First Experience" with a CFL BL Samsung TV
                by edugimeno
                Hi There!
I just wanted to share experiences trying to fix for the first time a CFL backlight Tv. It is samsung LE32A336J1N

The issue it was showing was: As soon as I turned it on, the BL would turn on/off for 2-4 times and them off definitely

I suspected the BL voltage generator or the LED strips, at least until I opened it up, cause I had never seen these TV's

When I opened it I found a very robust TV with a complex chassis formed by mutiple arms tied together with screws. There was a large PS board with several transformers for backlight,...
