    Behringer europower pmp2000d (no output)

    Hi,

My friend brought his Behringer Europower PMP2000D audio mixer to me still with power but no output on both speakon 2 audio ports.

The main issue is, it has no output and the main monitor levels led indicator are showing some signals whenever i attach any LINE In device such as microphone.

I tried opening the powersupply section and could not see any suspected parts.

I also removed the input board (LINE-IN) and cleaned all the switches and microphone jacks with contact cleaner because they are full of dust.

I also tried to wiggle the flex cables connecting the input board to the other boards including the powersupply board and reseated them all.

After that, i was surprised one of the speakon audio port was working well but the other was just humming loudly without any response.

What could be the common issue with this mixer?

    Hope to hear from you.

    Thanks

To add more detail. The Left Channel speakon output port is not working. I tried swapping the speakon ports and the same thing happened.

I should try to trace back the line from the dual opamp and see if one pin is dead and what might cause it.

Your problem doesn't sound like a power issue so don't waste time poking about in the power supply.

There are no schematics available for this mixer/amp that I know of but it looks like a clone (which a lot of behringer designs are) of the Peavey XR684 with a few more flashy lights.

The problem is most likely a bad solder joint or cable connection somewhere as behr soldering quality control is terrible and they use the cheapest pcb's they can to keep costs down and your symptoms sound like a bad connection.

The trouble will be finding the fault.

The easiest way I could suggest to you would be to play some audio into the inputs and then use a simple audio probe to trace to where the signal stops.

Here are links to a simple probe for use with another combo amplifier (e.g.small guitar amp) .... and the Peavey XR684 schematic for a map of the circuit ... which may or may not be very similar.

      Audio probe: https://www.diypedalgearparts.com/en...e-how-to-build

      I'll attach the schematic ...

Actually here's better images showing the probe construction better ... wired to a plug or socket ... the grounding on the original link is a bit confusing if your new to this.

Onkyo HT-R390 no sound output, video output ok
                by FrancescoV
                Good morning everyone,
I'm trying to repair an onkyo ht-r390 that has no sound output, despite the volume being at maximum, the rest seems to work; the video output signal (coming from an hdmi input) is present, but the audio is absent. Similar situation if I send an audio signal from any input I have no output.

The firmware reported is the following:
                M:1.00/11107BLP
                D:?.??/????????
                O:1.00/11107AL

The DSP firmware given the question marks seems corrupt.

Power button on Behringer Xenyx 1204USB mixer dead ?
                by Thermaltake
Hi, I got Behringer Xenyx 1204USB mixer, and in the morning mixer was working fine, but when I came home from bike ride I turn it On but nothing happend. Phantom switch is working because red light is On, but other switch no respond.
I brought mixer to my friend today who is electronic expert and he will tell me if it's the button or something on power supply that died. But I am 90% sure that it's power button. My question is, is it possible to put some better quality switches on that mixer than the ones mixer came with, I found them very cheap and low quality.

                Hi, I have few questions

                1. few of my pots on mixer are turning so hard, I tried to clean them and spray some DeoxIT Fader spray in it, but it didn't help. Is there any way to put some grease inside that pots whole that is on the side instead of spraing in it ?

                2. Or is it just simpler to replace them all with same ones ? I am not into pots, so am I able to put some better quality ones or it needs to be same one as they were default ?...

Corsair CX750M [Model 75-002019] - burned output toroid inductor
                by momaka
Looks like I may need a little help from the PSU experts (or anyone really! ) I have a Corsair CX750M (Model 75-002019) that I picked up for free about 4 years ago. This is the PSU:

So here’s what’s strange about this one: it appears to work normally (normal output voltages) and any PC is stable with it. However, after a while (typically 10-20 minutes, but time can vary depending on the load), there is a sweetish smell of burned magnet wire insulation emanating from the PSU. Upon opening the PSU after this happened (many times), I was able to confirm...
