blown fuse and checked the rectifier but it is showing good. i need to check the power FETs

Seen them in a 75inch LED TV as the main caps. The said TV is still working fine after i replaced 2 shorted power mosfet due to rainwater intrusion.

My 2007 dell precision workstation 390 is still alive and has been my workhorse. It has the LGA 775
I upgraded the processor to Intel Core2Quad QC6600, had 3 hdds and 1 kingston SSD and 4GB AMD FirePro WS5100, 8GB ram since 2014.
Only time it failed on me was due to my fault. I transferred to a new apartment and plug it in 110V (kaboom). I managed to fix the PSU and never ever experienced any problems with it.
I even got a newer model Dell Optiplex SFF 7050 with i5 and 16GB ram but decided to let go...Leave a comment:

That was what i am thinking, the Y-type fuses i replaced with what i have which is P-type... The reason why it blows could be from the failed powersupply.

YEah what i have are P fuses for macbook Pro backlight... The one used in samsung mainboard is Y-type which says 15amps 65V.. Anyway, i still used the P-type and it works well.

I decided to buy a replacement powersupply as i dont have the driver ICs and during installation i found out the LED backlights are working but still without display.
I checked several coils from the mainboard and found 0 volts all across even from the starting IC close to the connectors. Then i tried tracing from the connectors and found 1 SMD fuse Y-type which is blown. I searched the net and confirmed its rating at 15Amps. i only have some P fuses from macbook backlight i previously repaired and tried it just for luck....Leave a comment:

actually i send this whole board to a technician for TV sets and he cannot fix it because he mentioned to me it could be the drive IC's at the back of the board in which there are 2. he doesnt have samsung donor boards at the moment hence i decided to buy a replacement powersupply board....Leave a comment:

thanks for the input, i am not that expert in electronics and just have basic understanding of some common parts. good that you showed an illustration. based on terminals 1 and 2 it shuould be a diode if i am correct. The optocoupler i took out was partly melted on the top and showed shorted pins 1 and 2 while checking it out of the board and using diode mode....Leave a comment:

To add more detail. The Left Channel speakon output port is not working. I tried swapping the speakon ports and the same thing happened.
I should try to trace back the line from the dual opamp and see if one pin is dead and what might cause it.Leave a comment:

Hi,
My friend brought his Behringer Europower PMP2000D audio mixer to me still with power but no output on both speakon 2 audio ports.
The main issue is, it has no output and the main monitor levels led indicator are showing some signals whenever i attach any LINE In device such as microphone.
I tried opening the powersupply section and could not see any suspected parts.
I also removed the input board (LINE-IN) and cleaned all the switches and microphone jacks with contact cleaner because they are full of dust.

Hi thank you for the reply, Yes there is no voltage on JP808. actually i tried removing the photocoupler since there is slight sign of " i am not sure - if it's a meltded part" some markings are gone. I see it has 2 photocouplers with exact same part number and when i checked out of the board both of them are shorted.
I searched the net for the replacement photocouplers but could not find any. It has a marking on top 1008.w i dont know what it meas so i decided to send the powersupply board...Leave a comment:

Samsung BN44-0851A powersupply problem
My 40 inch Samsung TV suddenly went off.
I check the powersupply and has blown fuse. I checked the bridge rectifier and found shorted so i removed it but it was good out of the board. I noticed the Mosfet K10a60w was shorted and i replaced it. Also checked the output diodes and found 2 in parallel shorted. I removed both legs and determined only 1 of them is shorted hence i replaced it.
I tried to plug it and good the fuse did not blow. I get 310V from the primary caps. However i dont get any voltage from the secondary output.
What could be the problem... -

i found out the circular magnet becomes loose from the shaft underneath the high speed gear and i put some glue to it; now i managed to make the mixer work somehow but not 100% perfect. sometimes when i get lucky it will work non-stop with lower speed ( a bit tricky to operate the knob). i am thinking it has worn out potentiometer too. often it will work high speed and auto-shutdown for few seconds like the pulsating function. if i operate the knob -potentiometer very slowly then it will continuously work...Leave a comment:

Hi Gents, i received a Kenwood Prospero KM280 from a friend. It has exactly the same parts with the one posted by Nevillet hence i want to ask this question here if that would be fine. If not you may remove this post.
Condition when i received the unit: (Not working at all, fuse in the main plug still intact, i tested all parts in the PCB and found these defective -> BTB16 600v triac very low value, 0.33uF 275x2 open, 4x 1.1kohm resistors in very corroded state and even 1 leg detached.)
