  • Rather than make a mistake and feeding in AC I put in a DC 12v and nothing happened!!
Can you advise where I should jump 12v from and to on attached photo...so confident I'm doing correctly..

  • Hey D......
Referring to earlier posts #24-27 are the low V and Resistance a factor?...
Apologies for my ignorance but you mentioned a panel test, could you clarify what you meant?
When investigating the possibility of damage to the Cof and apart from testing Caps is there anything else that I should be aware of? do's and don'ts!!

  • #Davi & all....I understand, can imagine following up various threads/forums as well as our day to day lives...must be a little brain draining especially with relatively newbies like myself hounding your knowledge.
Apologies for in and out with questions and queries to all who have taken time to assist, I expect time differences are a factor also, but still, much appreciated.
    Regards

    (P.S have a great game)

  • Hi D......Sorry for delay in responding.
If I need to check the Cof or caps I've never delved that far into checking these components. They are taped down quite well and is there anything I should be aware of whilst removing and inspecting except for being extra careful as don't want to cause any further damage anywhere!
Where should I also test on the main board as you mentioned doing a panel test..to be honest I can't quite remember with any certainty which of the cables I changed at the time whilst the TV was still powered but I suspect it was the ribbon on the T-con side!

  • Put pins back, checked lvds and ribbons for continuity all ok-replaced and still no change. led's still working ok, tried other inputs hdmi nothing changed!
I began checking generally again in and around IC 302 and various caps associated seems that there maybe a problem with.....does this IC and buck converter have any affect or is this totally seperate. I compared to other power supplies and IC 300/3 are simular resistance and V but totally different to 302!!!

    Also I'm only getting 0.3 v caps 604/6/8 and 5/7 1.8 v...are these correct?...

    pic 1-3

    Hi all......
To save any confusion I've attached pics of my particular TV including PSU, Motherboard and T-con. I was in the process of removing the output ribbon 1 at a time...and this time i made sure that the power was off before moving anything. Attached is also where I originally taped over the ribbon to the left side off T-con output to remove slight vertical lines (little difficult to see on pic) which worked fine. Whilst viewing a little closer just in case of any damage which I hadn't noticed and then came across (pic 5) the right side input...

  • Lg 47lm860v 3d tv- no picture

Re: LG 47 LM8600 - No Video Hi all.....
I probably need putting against a wall and deserve a stoning for my stupidity.............. I have a LG which after following information with problems with T-con and lines on screen covered the pins which affected the display and had it sorted...until!!! Lets get it over and done with, I managed to get a little sidetracked and forgot that the tv remained powered up and I replaced the LVDS which to my horror then left me with no picture whatsoever. The backlight remains ok but as mentioned no picture and probably managed to fry the T-con or have...

  • Hi Davi......
    Thanks for your reply...
As mentioned in your response I'll attempt your recommendation with my heat gun to see if helps.
I will also start a new thread which is what I thought I'd done but am still trying to get used to the workings of Badcaps!!
Catch up soon...and if you need me to explain a little clearer then please let me know.
    regards

  • Behringer Pro Mixer DJX-750

Hi all....I have been using my Behringer mixer quite comfortably for a number of years now and generally it's been trouble free apart from a replacement crossfader. Recently input three channel fader began to bleed a little and causing the mixer to light up like a Christmas tree! I realise the unit is ageing now and although I'd put some hours on it over the years it's not been abused. Following the issue I planned on replacing the faders and ordered the necessary parts. In the meantime whilst awaiting the replacements I continued to use the mixer up until the channel fader started to give feedback...
