    Aiwa mx-z9400m sound issue

    Hi all

I have recently acquired an Aiwa mx-z9400m system, there is a sound issue that affects the right channel only (both speakers and headphones)
The issue is present no matter what input is selected.

The sound is similar to say a bag being scrunched up and the occasional popping sound to.

I have had a visual inspection of the board and there is nothing glaringly obvious all the caps look OK with no obvious leaking or swelling etc.

Hoping someone may be able to point me in the direction of what maybe the cause of this.

    Thanks

sounds like you should start with the soldering of any pots on the front.
    that type of thing.

It is likely a bad audio output ic, It might be a STK4182-MK2 . Also the headphone signal comes from the audio output ic same as the speakers

Thanks the info, is there a way to test the existing one? Or just get a new one and see if it fixes it.

Here is a photo of the board for info, which IC would it be?

given the cost, i would test them by swapping them over first!

            Hi All

Managed to hold of the service manual and replaced the STK-419-120 as this goes to the speakers and headphones, unfortunately it hasn't made any difference at all.
Symptoms still persist on the right channel (cracking/popping and lower volume than the left channel)

So just looking at any other possible causes?

                  Anthem MRX500 - no sound

                  Dear Electronics Experts:

I have the following problem I am trying to troubleshoot. Unfortunately, I have contacted Anthem themselves and even a local distributer but I am not having much luck. Also, I have scoured the internet and unable to obtain a service manual. The Anthem service rep has also replied that he is unable to provide me with any service documentation. I have performed numerous searches on the internet and cross-referenced a few other AV receiver makers (Denon, Marantz, Onkyo) and found certain similarities to block diagram...

what i went through dealing with my mobo with dead onboard sound!
                  by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

Kenwood SW-505D no sound issue and pops from time to time when it works
                  by ex250
                  Hello mates,

I bought this subwoofer a few days ago used and blind and it works erratically, as far as I could see, it has been tampered with, the speaker is not the original one and of 8 Ohm when it should be of 4, and there are some welds like reworked by the boards.

It doesn't have much power (expected more from it) and it distorts if you increase the volume over the middle, maybe it's because of the high impedance of the speaker. The problem is that it has sound when it wants, the led panels all work correctly, you can hear the power relay on power on, but right now...

MacBook Air A2337 820-02016-07 No sound ISSUE
                  by saisoni20
                  Hi,
I have A2337 MacBook Air no sound issue.
I have replaced new Audio Board but still same issue. I went through repair wiki and checked critical voltages.
In terms of voltages, I have following voltages,

                  1 PP1V25_AWAKE_IO - 1.2V
                  2 PP1V25_AWAKE_IO - 1.8V
                  3 SPKRAMP_A_OUTP_R - 0V
                  4 SPKRAMP_A_OUTN_R - 0V

Am I missing any other critical voltages?

                  Thanks

Sony SLV-E780 Power Supply Issue – Clicking Sound, Need Help Identifying Faulty Component
                  by Akuanka
                  Hi everyone,

I'm troubleshooting a power supply issue with a Sony SLV-E780 VCR. The device clicks repeatedly but doesn't power up completely. I've already replaced five capacitors, but the problem persists.

Here's a video link https://photos.app.goo.gl/3Xki6yvCLn67gLX78 showcasing the sound. Based on your experience, could this be due to a transformer, diode, or another component? Any guidance on what to test or replace next would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!
