Re: Numark NS6 Usb problem
send them that picture, tell them it's U7 and you need the binary file to put in it.

this sticker was on the original chip, can it be useful to us?Last edited by falcontech; 09-02-2020, 06:37 AM.Leave a comment:

Re: Numark NS6 Usb problem
if they actually know what they are doing then ask for the firmware for the atmel usb controller and include the page from the service manual with the chip reference.
better yet, include the page with a big red circle added around the chip!Leave a comment:

Re: Numark NS6 Usb problem
and now how do you do it? what request should I make to numark, I think it will be a bit difficult to explain to him what I need, can you give me a precise indication?Leave a comment:

Re: Numark NS6 Usb problem
that is not the atmel firmware, it's for the main chip.
the atmel firmware will be a BIN or HEX fileLeave a comment:

Re: Numark NS6 Usb problem
I wrote them a nice message on FB's wall but I know they will never make it public:
Good morning,
I have a problem with my ns6 (first edition) I have written several times to the Italian assistance that at the parent company, I need the firmware of this controller because due to a problem it failed to load, I was asked to change the card main for a cost of 190 euros, you call this me assistance service? do i have to spend 190 euros for a problem that i can solve at no cost? I await an answer and the firmware otherwise I will be forced to stop buying your products and as a reseller do not recommend the purchase anymore ThanksLeave a comment:

Re: Numark NS6 Usb problem
Hello here I am after receiving an answer from numark italia assistance, unfortunately I have no good news, I was denied the purchase of the atmega containing the firmware and also the sending of the firmware to be reloaded, I was offered to buy the card at the price of 190 euros, now I wonder but what the hell do they put an ISP attack on the card if they don't give you the possibility to have the firmware? now I'm at a standstill, if anyone has a solution let me know thanksLeave a comment:

but look what the hell ... I try to ask if they send me an atmega with the firmware inside let's see what happensLeave a comment:

Re: Numark NS6 Usb problem
the chips are not the same.
for a start your unit does not have an ST32 microcontroller or a DFU mode.
or an XMOS chip.
final problem, that's a 20k binary and you only have 16k flash space.Leave a comment:

Re: Numark NS6 Usb problem
That is what they call the "XMOS firmware" in the above screenshot.
-Whatever that is, don't ask me, I didn't design it
That said it is of a size (24KB) which would be in the ballpark depending on used encoding format for the Atmega...Leave a comment:

Re: Problema Di Numark NS6 Usb
The firmware goes inside the Atmel.
The service schematic shows the USB port, but also J13 programming header is connected for this purpose.
The thing is via USB is not possible without there already being a firmware on the device: i.e. you can update via USB, but not load the initial firmware that way.
I extracted the firmware from the installer, but this does not look to be in Intel HEX format. (And also how do you know if the NS6-II model is even similar?)
So it might be something proprietary, I don't really know.
As stj said your best bet here might be to get some info from the manufacturer.
Most likely the firmware is obfuscated, but maybe in that case they could sell you a preflashed new Atmel chip...

by theone111I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.
In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.- Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again. - Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.

by foshlandHi to all, I have a XPS 9560 with some faults, im working on it for fun, I have a "burned" zone I need to dremel but afterwards ill need a photo of the zone for rebuilding as far as I can, I have the schematics and the boardview but will like a photo, if some of you can get any so I see the traces will be cool.
It was some kind of lucky that the zone had not too much components, so I think I can deal with it.
Its under the zone where PC308 PC309 and PC337 is located, next to PU300
Thanks a lot for all and "pray" for me...

by Zeonalbastai have a problem with thinkpad X1 carbon gen 2 "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021"
The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double... -

by perzyk23Good morning,
I have a problem with Lenovo T580, which after error code 0288 suggests a problem with the display. I checked the display and it works on another laptop. I replaced the display cable with a new one. I programmed another BIOS (downloaded from this forum) and I still have the problem of a dead display - there is an image via HDMI, and the system does not detect the built-in LCD at all. The problem appears to be hardware. What can I check to confirm or disprove this? I found many threads on the Internet related to this problem 0288, but without specific solutions. Please advise.... - Loading...
