I have a Mission MS8 subwoofer here for repair. I had a bubbled cap and also I have a burnt part. I am hoping someone will be able to help with the value of the capacitor. The location # is C11. Or if you have schematic you can share would be much appreciated. Thanks

I don't think that the capacitance is too critical here. 0.1uF is what I'd jam in there too.Comment

Hello, I'm currently having this same problem with my ms8, or at least i can see that i also have the same cap gone on the board, if thats all that is wrong im not a expert, I come from a car audio background. Is it possible to find the same value of cap say out of another component I may have around or am I wasting my time?Comment

I picked up this used Bose Acoustimass 10 IV speaker system. Speakers seem to work fine, but the subwoofer does not make any noise. So I took apart the unit and found some obviously failed (burnt) components:
- 1x 3.14 A @ 250V main circuit fuse
- 1x bridge rectifier GBU601. there's actually two of these on the board, one is obviously burnt and the other does not seem to have any anomalies like shorts. However I figure may as well replace both.
- 2x diode. This is tricky because the only markings I see on it are: "617 402". No current rating or anything else.... -

I've got a subwoofer that I've had for nearly 20 years, it did come with a basic remote which I've lost. It's a generic make of subwoofer, I can't see a brand sticker on it. It comes with 2 speakers.
Question recently I've connected it up to my tv which has greatly improved the sound on my tv, however I'd like to be able to mute the subwoofer when ads come on or just mute it when the phone rings etc. I tried using a cheap all in one tv remote on the subwoofer and the volume button would only work to increase volume but not turn it down or mute it

I have this Lantec PULSE 386 subwoofer I got a while back laying around awating repair for quite some time. Sadly it's missing it's original speakers which it came with.
After plugging in the mains, the LED on the volume controller lights up. When I plug in the 3.5" jack cable to my soundcard (confirmed to work), I get no audio on the subwoofer (nor the speaker jack at the back).
The PCB is quite simple. There is a UTC4558 amp and two D6282 audio amps. When I put my finger on the UTC4558 I can see and hear the speaker "fart". Although, the left...11-29-2025, 04:15 AM
