    Service Manuals for audio equipment

Does anyone know a good place for audio equipment schematics and service manuals?

Also, how do you go about troubleshooting something without a schematic or SM? I can usually troubleshoot TV ok but amps are much mote difficult, especially since most of the boards in the amps are piled on top of each other, and usually the board I need to test is on the bottom. Once the other boards are removed, you can no longer test anything. Any tips?

As for your second question, hope for a blown fuse? 8^)

www.elektrotanya.com also has a fair selection (albeit with certain limitations in usage).

At one time, audio equipment was easy to maintain and repair (as one book said); now with digital processing/control in modern units, this statement is no longer valid - for such units, having a service manual on hand is generally essential.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.
