Re: Pioneer VSX-520-K Protection problem
Hi.. i replace the 2sa684(q444) with a92 now problem soleved ther is no leakage current. I think 2sa684 for not suitable for this apllication as the maximum volatage on Vceo is 50 but in this circuit its 54volt i think thats why this leakage current but for a92 Vceo is 300 volt.any way thanks alot for your support i apriciate it..may be tomorrow i will get correct tramsistors ie. A992..then i wil replace itComment

Re: Pioneer VSX-520-K Protection problem
The 2SA684 would not have had any leakage and there was no indication that Q443 was leaky. If the PCB was charred, you should confirm it. I like things to make complete sense where possible.
It is best to use the correct transistors.Last edited by rievax_60; 09-15-2017, 06:01 AM.Comment

What Voltage do you have at the Base of Q437 compared to working channels?
What are the Voltages at the Collector of Q443, 444 compared to working channels?Last edited by budm; 09-15-2017, 09:30 PM.Never stop learning

Re: Pioneer VSX-520-K Protection problem
So those Voltage readings on all those 3 location as I request show about (within 1V) the same as in the working channels. There must be some readings in that section that is/are not the same as working channels.Never stop learning

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by m1ch43lzmHi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic... -

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....-

by HakuuHi There,
This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.
After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

by canadaboy25I have a Panasonic TC-P54VT25 that will power on and prime the display but there is no image at all.
The panel is primed as there is a slight glow from the entire panel. This means the problem should be logic related. The service manual also confirms this and recommends replacing the A or the D board.
I have tried to get the TV to display the test sequence but I have been unable to and I don't even know if this TV has a test sequence or not. I tried following tom66's instructions in post #3 on this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=26790. There was... - Loading...
