Crate guitar amp with extremely loud static on power on (no input)

Hi. Not our mainstream line of work - we work with digital mostly. Will study the schematic found on the internet. The output darlington transistors appear to be ok. Even with no input, the output is extremely loud with static / crackle / pop. Any ideas? Will post more details and fix as we continue the review. Have not checked the main power supply rails yet (+-40V and +-16V).

What model number? Got a schematic to boot with it?

Thanks so much for replying. No, could not find one..yet. Will share the full details on Monday (or sooner if we run back to the office). Still fixing a Fender 212R which is slightly different in the schematic than the public ones on the internet. Has noise even on clean input. Static / distortion with a mind of its own. The power rails are stable. Amp appears to be ok and loud. Replaced most of the pots and did replace each connector with little improvement. Working with a 1 khz tone from our scope as input and tracing as we go.

Found the following on internet which may be the scematic - will confirm it on Monday.

          Symptoms are:

with or without input, blasting loud random static / snap / crackle pop. Volume control has no impact on the output noise. Cut the darlington output transistors to measure in diode mode and they appear to test out fine and without a short. Have not yet injected a 1khz tone into the input to monitor with a scope.

Check with the oscilloscope what goes into the PA. Would be my first step.

Philips 43PUS7506/12 - Loud blown out sound
              by aidanmo
              Hello,

I've got a really strange issue with the speakers on my Philips 43PUS7506/12. It makes this awful loud buzzing now. It happened after it was attempted to be wall mounted - I think the back got squeezed and something broke.
I thought maybe the speakers got damaged, so I replaced them - no dice.
              • Using the internal speakers, it always happens.
              • Using the headphone jack, it never happens.
              • Using the digital/optical out with a soundbar - it happens after about 2h/movie runtime - it's never as drastic, it just pops in and out, but I didn't want it to damage the sound bar

Extremely Strange Issues with charging and battery on Zephyrus G14(GA401)
              by DaLZy
I have recently come into possession of a G14 that cannot detect or charge it's battery. Initially both windows and the bios agreed that the battery was on "0%" but the laptop was able to run without AC power. I was able to get the laptop to detect the true charge of the battery(26%) in windows for a moment but it wouldn't charge or update the percentage when the battery drained. I attempted a few more EC resets and battery reconnections and now the battery shows at 0% in bios and 100% in windows. Additionally the machine is extremely laggy when plugged into AC. When on ac power in the...

Vizio TV M50-C1 reboot cycle and static on screen
              by spice_disc
I'm currently trying to diagnose and fix my Vizio TV (Model M50-C1). I've tried a number of different basic solutions, but I'm trying to determine if my issue is currently a failing panel, T-Con board, or main board (or something else entirely) and whether or not it is worth my time to fix it. Details of the issue and what I've tried are below as well as why I think it is either a bad panel, T-Con board, or main board.

The Issue: The TV will be on and working fine but after the TV is on for ~5-10 minutes the screen will freeze (with sound continuing) until the TV reboots itself. While...

              Sennheiser Momentum M2 AEBT Headphones
              by jimanez11
Have an issue with my momentum wireless headphones. Bought them on ebay to try out repairing them - have done component level repairs on laptops and other small devices, so figured I would give it a shot - but I know very little about audio circuits and troubleshooting - so please forgive my lack of basic terminology knowledge and any help is appreciated.

An overview of the symptoms is listed below with a more detailed outline after that:
              - Immediately on power on - slight static in right side of headphones
              - Static only lasts for 45 seconds to a minute
              -...

MacBook Pro A1708 - CPU extremely slow, locked @ 0.39ghz; fan full speed
              by gjlpereira
              Hi forum.

I'm working on a macbook pro, model a1708, that is running extremely slow.

Everything on it seams to work just fine, it just works extremely slow; painfully slow; especially running macos (windows and linux actually run OKish on it, slow, but usable).
One other symptom of the problem with the machine is that the fan is always running at full speed.

This machine has been worked on by someone else previously; they tried to repair it, but with no success. The motherboard does have sings of being worked on, but it all looks good/OK; like...
