Hi, I wonder if anyone on here could help me? I have a NAD amplifier that sometimes loses sound to one speaker. I have changed the speaker and still the problem persists so it is the amp. I have cleaned the pot and visually checked the caps but no joy. Does anyone have any experience of this problem in amps?

Re: Faulty NAD c370 amp
Did you already try cleaning controls and switches? You can also try swithching the Main In in/ Pre-out left and right to see if the problem will still stay in the same channel. It can also be intermittent speaker relay's contacts.Attached FilesNever stop learning

Re: Faulty NAD c370 amp
Thanks for your reply. I switched inputs but still the same problem. I have taken the pot apart and cleaned it but no joy. Do you mean clean out every control switch? I read somewhere about the caps in amps, could these be the problem? They look fine.Comment

Re: Faulty NAD c370 amp
If the headphones cut the speakers when plugged in you could check that part of the switch inside the socket is not sticking open when the headphones are removed. I dont know if the switch IS that type but it is worth checking.
Is the failure on both speakers and headphonesLast edited by selldoor; 08-11-2014, 01:27 PM.Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: Faulty NAD c370 amp
"I switched inputs but still the same problem" I am talking about the Power amp main In put and The Pre-Out jacks on the rear panel. This unit can be used as a preamp or as a power amp unit. What we are trying to find out if the problem is in the power amp section or in the pre amp section. There should be 'U' shape link that are installed in the Main in/pre out jacks. You can also try activating the Tape monitor switches in and out a bunch of time to see if it helps.
For example:

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.- Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again. - Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.

by Zeonalbastai have a problem with thinkpad X1 carbon gen 2 "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021"
The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double... -

Hi. I have a problem that has been going on for some time (2-3 years). It's hard to explain what it really is. by perzyk23Good morning,
I have a problem with Lenovo T580, which after error code 0288 suggests a problem with the display. I checked the display and it works on another laptop. I replaced the display cable with a new one. I programmed another BIOS (downloaded from this forum) and I still have the problem of a dead display - there is an image via HDMI, and the system does not detect the built-in LCD at all. The problem appears to be hardware. What can I check to confirm or disprove this? I found many threads on the Internet related to this problem 0288, but without specific solutions. Please advise.... -
Hi all,
Wondering if anyone here can help – I have an Allen and Heath Xone:92 silver mixer with one faulty channel – channel 2 is only outputting on one side (right side) when set to a phono input. It works fine with a line input, and all the other channels work perfectly with phono and line inputs. I'm not sure when this happened as I rarely use the faulty channel – it could well have been like this for years! Any thoughts on what might be causing the fault and how it could be repaired? I can do some basic soldering, so I'm hoping I might be able to fix it myself.
