How to test this IC (IC400)

Is there a way to test this IC? I have a signal tracer, signal generator & scope, just not sure about injecting signal procedure. Would this audio IC require voltage applied in order to test it? It is located in a Pioneer Elite VSX-40, current fault is no sound, right front channel went bad and has been repaired by replacing 2 transistors and 4 resistors.

Requesting Help For GA-970A-DS3 rev. 1.0, No Post code, no RSMRST# signal
    by AstutePauciloquent
Hi everyone, over the past few months i have taken a deep dive into motherboard diagnostics and I love the challenge. Currently im trying to learn all about the signals that travel around the motherboard, such as frequencies, enable signals High and Low logic states etc. And i have been learning to read and using the Schematics for this board that i requested here on Badcaps forum, from a few months ago, this is such a great place for these.

I’ve been working on a GA-970A-DS3 (rev. 1.0) that does not post. This motherboard has been my main learning board. I would like share...

How to probe TP7002 for AP_PS_HOLD on SM-G930F?
    by R7027
In the service manual for Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F), step number four in the flow chart for troubleshooting power-on issue is to check the voltage level of a "signal".

I had a very hard time locating this. I didn't understand what it means to check for voltage of something by its signal name, and it's location was not described in the service manual (not that I could see in my four chapter excerpt of the complete manual). Then I learned that this signal name needs to be translated into a test point (TP) ID on the board. This is unlikely to be referenced in a service...

How Can I test PWM DM0365R?
    by chth96
    Hello
I have power adaptor(220V/input, 12V 1.2A/output) which has symptom of fluctuating output DC voltage between 11.5V-12.2V.
So I opened its plastic case and when switched it on, I heard constant tik tik sound from inside its PCB.
I measured DC voltage between negative and positive pin of the largest capacitor(400v 10uf) and it was measured contant 300V.
I also measured ESR value of all capacitors and I noticed that one of capacitor(KMG 16v 470uf), which located in the secondary side, have high ESR value(10 ohm),So I replaced it with same specification NXH capacitor....

Vizio M65Q7-H1 Red Vertical Strips fixed by tape blocking LC1 signal to half of the panel

    Failure Symptom

No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.

    Where is the short?

Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

Having recently fixed another Vizio with similar symptoms that was a shorted ESD diode array ( link ) Probed the ESD diode array but...

Signal Tracer - Requesting input on requirements
    by clearchris
Budm and redwire recently introduced me to using a signal tracer. I used a pair of amplified speakers and a special built probe, but well, my speakers need to go back to my computer, and I ordered one of these mono amps from ebay.

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/1Set-LM386-...O/383526526009

It helped me find a problem in record time, so seems like it deserves a place on my bench, so I'm going to design a 3d printed box for it. But I haven't used one except for once. What features should it have?

    I was originally going...
