Is B2F the Vdd supply for the SoC (CMS8S6990)?

why 2 blown? do they feed each other?
          reverse polarity mistake?
          shorted ceramic caps?

For Member Harp and Trucglacier : it's the good component.
The B2F: Not the VDD supply for the SoC CMS8S6990.
For Member stj : The guy who brought me this GPS had wired it wrong. No shorted ceramic caps.

I would be concerned as to whether Vin has punched through the ICs and clobbered the loads. To this end I would measure the resistance between Vout and ground, and between Vin and Vout.

I removed the component B2F53S and the values are good between Vin and Vout and GND.
As this component is not identified I cannot go any further with the repair.

                  Can you determine the pinout?

It might also help to measure the feedback resistors, as this could tell us the FB reference voltage. Common examples are 0.6V and 0.8V.

It would also help to know which chips are powered by this IC, as that might tell us the output voltage.

Lastly, it might be worth identifying the manufacturers of other ICs, in case the designer used the same IC maker.

                          clock radio / radio lifespan?
                          by shelby5041
                          hi
ive got a modern digital clock radio approx 15yrs old

my question is how long can a clock radio or a simple radio last ss farcas operating hours?

since elec components have limited hour lifecspan i would imagine the radio or clock radio would eventually fail.

the reason i ask is because i have my clock radio on radio function 24/7 for the past 7 years and its still working fine....i leave the radio on ..never turn off past 7years...thats approx 60000 hours

it uses very little power just a few watts i would imagine that may have something...

                          Hi to all,
Anyone have some advice what can be wrong if Car auto radio Alpine CDE-170R have no sound output?
All works fine, mute disabled, also change cables, ...
I connect it on my bench and connect new speakers, all setup on the Auto radio are correctly setup-ed, just no sound output.
                          Inside nothing burned.
Any advice what can be wrong?
Anyone have boardview and schematics for this Car radio Alpine CDE-170R?

                          Thank you.

                          Best regards,
                          Elvis C.
