What headphones do you use?
I use a pair of Realistic Custom Pro headphones, made by Koss, probably from the 70's. They sound pretty good. Only problem is it uses 1/4 inch plug, so I have to use an adaptor to convert to 1/8 inch for my PC.

These days using mostly my 5.1 logitech speakers cause i live alone and noise is not an issue.
If I need to, I have Sennheiser HD212 Pro... which are great.
On my Sansa clip I have some Sennheiser MX370 - nothing special about them, good enough for listening at fm radio when in town. -

I had a set of Sennheiser HD 212 Pro's, but recently bought a set of RHA's. The RHA's cost about a quarter of the price of the Sennheisers and sound every bit as good... Better in some circumstances.

^ A pair of Sony MDR-023's. I know, nothing to brag about. They were leftovers from the Sony Walkman era. Still work great though. The foam pads ripped a long time ago so I changed them with home-made ones made from wool. The stretching mechanism also broke, but I fixed it with lots of hot glue and electrical tape (hence why they looks like they do).
Overall, they sound pretty decent IMO - especially with the tone controls on my headphone amplifier. I actually have 2 pairs of these headphones. Don't think they will give me any problems any time soon.Comment

sony mdr150had since late 90's, been on many a gg with me, an way to much home abuse! lol.. awesome set, only had to repair 1/8th jack, all else all good!Comment

Grado SR125. Sound great although they are a little pricy at $150 (not too terrible, about the same as Bose or some similar Sennheisers, but more durable) and the design looks like it hasn't been updated in 40 years (mainly because they haven't, at least on the outside, the internals are modern) but I care more about how they sound than how they look.

A free pair of Sennheiser HD201s
This is why i need a headphone amp, they sound nice but really low on my pc.

On my list of favourite brands, headphones would be Sennheiser (we have a pair of wireless ones, but with a continously variable tuning control at the headphones - it should have been a channel dial with fixed settings!)My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.Comment

OK, this one dates back to 2015! I thought I had posted this, but realized I didn’t when I posted a picture of something else. So here it goes…
Back in 2015, I bought a pair of RCA WHP141 wireless headphones at Micro Center for $2. I even mentioned it in the best cheap/free scores thread right here. Just forgot to follow up with that.
As mentioned back then, these are (were) 900 MHz FM wireless headphones. No modern day Blutooth or anything like that. I knew they wouldn’t be great headphones or even that good… but the price was right!
So let’s take...

Have an issue with my momentum wireless headphones. Bought them on ebay to try out repairing them - have done component level repairs on laptops and other small devices, so figured I would give it a shot - but I know very little about audio circuits and troubleshooting - so please forgive my lack of basic terminology knowledge and any help is appreciated.
An overview of the symptoms is listed below with a more detailed outline after that:
- Immediately on power on - slight static in right side of headphones
- Static only lasts for 45 seconds to a minute

So I found my wife a pair of Sony MDR-100ABN's, and we were goofing with them yesterday. She has a new HP Sceptre with Windows 10. I don't know 10 at all so my blood pressure goes up trying to navigate the unruly interface.
I played with lots of settings yesterday, when I was trying to make the headphones connect to the laptop over bluetooth including, the MIC settings since we were playing with the Noice-Cancelling setting on the headphones. I ended up putting the MIC setting back to the Intel default on the laptop, but the output for the headphones.

Hi all,
i got these headphones which were not charging or powering on. I found some corosion around the charging port and power board. After cleaning the headphones took a charge but directly powered on.
The power button ist without any reaction. I suggest that there ist still some gunk under the button and i get an always power on. Do you have any suggestions what to do? Is it possible to desolder the button for a cleaning?

I have problem with probook 650 g2 - laptop shows connected headphones Even without them. If i pług headphone Jack - computer show disconnected headphones. Speakers work when i change sound output.
