does it have to do with galvanic isolation? or a wave protection to the circuit?

                        Hair dryer in water
                        by Cmat2l
                        Hello everyone!
I dropped a hair dryer in the water after using it. I pulled it out fast but it was still hot, plugged in the mains and switched off. Still in warranty but the shop I bought it is in another country. The local repair shops asked 50-60 eur for repair. The dryer cost 60 so I was thinking maybe there is smthng I could do to fix it my self. I took it apart but I reached the point that I cant understand what the problem might be. I dont have electronics knowledge. Just some basic electrical.

There are 3 leds that are blinking when is plugged in but it does...

                        Whirlpool dryer control board
                        by Eaglecrest
I have a Whirlpool dryer that runs for a while then stops with a blinking timer screen. The dryer can't be reset by hitting any input and if you pull the plug and plug it back in it also won't respond. Light is on in the drum when you open the door, but no other sign of life. If I leave it unplugged for a period of time, which is multiple days, it runs again. May be able to get a load done, but now seems to be less than full load before it errors out.

Since unplugging will get it to work, I am assuming that there is an error condition that is causing the onboard processor to shut...

                        Panasonic Heatpump Dryer Repair
                        by BigPete
I picked up a Panasonic NH-P70G2, though it would apply to the NH-P80G2, NH-P70G1 and NH-P80G1 models as well, as maybe some other models. This one was coming up with a H86 error. After lots of testing and googling it was an error with one of the thermistors in the condenser area.
The attached French service manuals is incorrect, TH11 is gray and is a 95k thermistor and TH12 is black and is a 35k thermistor.
In my case TH12 was bad. I was able to get a 35k thermistor on AliExpress. It's 6mm in diameter.
Unfortunately the whole machine has to come apart to fix it.
                        I have...

Bosch Nexxt 500 dryer blinking start button - no start fix
                        by CapLeaker
My Bosch NEXXT 500 dryer quit today, press start nothing happens and the start button just keeps blinking. Not cool. Reset the dryer, same thing.
Even so the buttons feel good, my problem was the start button smd tactile switch on the PCB. Cleaned the switch with alcohol followed with Deoxit and the sucker runs like a champ again.
I like these easy evening fixes!

                        Heat pump tumble dryer regas
                        by notallbad
Just wondering if anyone has successfully attempted a re-gas on a heat pump tumble dryer.

The dryer currently in question runs on R134a.
The dryer has been completely stripped down/cleaned/tested and re-assembled however there is no heating/cooling effect so working on the assumption it requires re-gassing. Of course, its likely theres a leak which would require soldering or even the possibility that the compressor has an internal fault even though it is running.

I was thinking of getting a car aircon regas kit or probably easier but slightly dearer an hvac...
