by MikoMikoHello everyone, I have a MacBook Pro 13” 2020 (Four ports) (Model A2251 with the 820-01949-A logicboard). It had some minor liquid damage but I carefully cleaned the logic board with alcohol and let it dry as needed. Now I encounter following situation: The MacBook does start but the Battery is not charging when a cable is plugged in any of the ports (I use the powerbrick and cable that came with the device). It had some charge left, so I could safe some data, but I was limited my the 13% and the speed of airdrop. The liquid-damage is almost only limited to the side of the logic board where...

by DannyxGood day folks. It's been a while since I've worked on a laptop, but this one belongs to a very important person - my boss ! - so I'd be great if I could get this one going, but the signs are not good so far. I found the schematic AND boardview right here on our forum - big shout-out to SMDFlea for providing them !
The laptop doesn't do anything: totally dead. No lights, no power, no fan-spin. I took the cover off and noticed someone had been inside before, as two caps are missing (PC20 and PC29) which are just power-input filter caps, so it SHOULD work without those too.

Hi guys have a HP 14 Labtop. DA0PAHMB8F0 .There is no White LED on the DC Jack .It got a drop of water damage right next to the 3V IC ( Silergy SY8386BRHC) and corroded a resistor and a pad which belongs to the Enable for the IC. I cleaned the area and re-soldered the resistor. Nothing Changed. I don't know what the value for the resistor should be.It measures about 80.0K No schematics available for this model. A good friend on here mon2 helped me identify the IC markings and gave good advice on making sure to measure the input voltages and enables and checking for short.
