are you talking about the 560uf 6.3v solid polymer capacitor with red print?

Think it's a transistor, 2SC3052 or equivalent perhaps?

Asus TUF B450M Pro S missing Vddq fan spin no lights
            by dude7485
Board was fine when I put it into storage in antistatic bag, was helping a friend build a system with spare parts. Used a R5 1400 (tested) and it didn't post. Tried to downgrade bios with flashback, now no lights at all, just fan spins.
I saw a video of a similar issue on an Asus Mobo, long story short he has no VDDQ and it was due to a bad transistor driven by P_VDDQ_SIO_EN_10. I don't have any post card or ddr voltage tester but I can see I have no voltage at VDDQ or SIO_EN either. Am I walking the right path to fix this? Is the SIO chip bad perhaps?

Thinkpad T60 display, first no backlight, now nothing (long story and pictures inside
            by SluggerB
I have an old T60 where the display was showing the "red haze" indicating the CCFL was on its way out. Eventually it developed a condition where upon a fresh reboot the display would be fine for a few minutes, and then the back light would go out. Plugging an external display into the VGA port showed the laptop was still working fine.

I ordered a new screen, an AU Optronics 14.1" 30pin Matte LCD Screen B141XG09. I disassembled the laptop to prepare for the screen swap. When the screen showed up, the white plug was not the right kind to fit into my inverter. So I...

            "Kinetic" 433Mhz transmitter/receiver discussion
            by Dannyx
            Good day folks.

TL;DR: has anyone tried pairing one of THESE "kinetic" battery-less switches with THESE generic remote modules ?

Details: I recently got hit by this craze of wanting to add remote controls to the lights around my house, so I went with those generic 433Mhz remote relay modules found everywhere, which are really basic, easy to use and work well, since I used them before in other projects. What I like most about them is they accept all kinds of 433Mhz remotes that float around Aliexpress, since they're all the same under the hood, save for the...

            HP Pavilion 14-ce0505sa, 5 long 3 short, no display. g7a-2g da0g7ambd1
            by szreder6
            Hello guys,
I have a problem with my laptop as in the title, black screen, capslock displays error code 5 long 3 short, no voltage on the coils above the CPU, before removing the drive I had 0.8v there, power led flashed 5x long and the battery would not charge (current jumped from 0.5a to 2.8a), now on the power led I have a steady white light or orange when the battery is connected.
            What I did:
            - Laptop was not detecting ram, loose pins on ram slot, error 3.2 disappeared, ram working tested in another laptop

As far as I know the laptop was in another service center...

ASUS ROG G513QY – RX 6800M powered but not detected intermittently + random crashes (Motherboard: 6050A3254002-MB-Axx)
            by EvazX
            Hello everyone,

I am working on an ASUS ROG G513QY laptop with RX 6800M dGPU.
Originally, this laptop was completely non-functional. I replaced the motherboard (part number 6050A3254002-MB-Axx), and with the replacement board it started working fine.

For a long time, the dGPU worked perfectly stable. I played several hundred hours on very demanding games such as Cyberpunk 2077 without any crashes, instability, or detection issues. Performance was excellent and there were no warning signs of failure.

However, after some time, the replacement motherboard...
