    We only have 3 poisonous spiders, one of which is endangered, and none of which are very big, or really very dangerous.

    I've also read that most infections caused by spider bites aren't the fault of the spider but rather due to bacteria on the spider or a person's own skin, in fact you don't even need to be bitten by a spider, any insect will do given the right circumstances...

      We are relatively safe in the UK when it comes to spiders, but I was surprised by the number of spiders in the UK that can still give you a nasty nip.
