yes, it is a different motherboard. I was worried a bit but it fits perfectly into the case. I bought as 15-CS. The winkey is not present or working in the new bios. I can not activate the windows home, however it worked with the old one....

HP 15-CS needs DMI and licence after mobo replecament
Hi I have tried, but I failed. An old motherboard died (chipset blown) and I buoght another (and better) one. However, the new motherboard has no identity and windows key. Can someone copy these for me from the old bios into the newone, please? sn: 5CD9215YR9 (belongs to the old motherboard.)
Thanks...

Thanks. It is charging fine. I followed your link and I also found the board view on the google. I also wrote a new bios onto it but everything is the same.
On the ISL chip the "all power ok" signal is missing(pin48 0v). It is connected to the ec chip and to many more places and I supposing that the EC chip is working, just because the charging working, when the board on then basic voltages are present and I can switch the board on and off. After taking a look on EC's pinout it has two pins with ~pch-power-ok. On the top of the chipset every single capacitor has voltages...

So, Actually, When the board is ON, The ISL95855C chip shorts the pin 47 to the ground not the 48(marked wrongly on the picture.) the other end of that 10k resistor is the main 3.3v.
After pressing the power button, no voltage on the cpu's coils, gpu, gpu-s vram, gpu's bios chip's coil, screen's coil, all other voltages present, but the board does nothing. It takes 40 mil instantly and no change for about a minute when the board switches off and falls to 0 amp.
Does anyone have a schematic or pinout for that ISL chip? Actually, this short is the only suspicious thing...

MSI GF63 MS-16R41 powers on then nothing.
Hi there,
Given a laptop. It was unrealible, however repeating switching off then back on always brought it back to life for a while. Now, if I press the power button it consumes 40mil and the light is on, on the power button, but noting else is happening, about a minute later it swithes off by on its own. When the board is disconnected from the power I did not found any short or suspicius reading or component. When the board is on the right voltages present on the right place apart from the coils of the cpu where no voltages at all. The ISL95855C chip gets the 5 volt and shorts the...

Victrix pro bfg ps5/pc controller - battery issue
Hi there
So, here is a controller which has 2 batteries, their connectors on the right side. The controller does not work wirelessly and if I try to switch on it lights in red until i release the button. Furtheremore, I beleive that it never ever worked wirelessly. The voltage on the batteries (between a-c and x-z) are 3.8 volts and if I connect it to a charger it flashes one green.
however the voltages on the middle pins are different and I cross tested the batteries and it was same so the issue is going to be with the board itself. (i beleive so)
So, between...

Some update as I wasted same time again on a horrifying hobbi what i love: I removed the board again to make some nice picture with my microscope and I also tried the board without anything connected... so the battery, an external monitor, memory, ssd were connected and still there is a thing what connected to the usb and malfunctioning according to the device manager. That thingy is on the motherboard but I have no idea what that is, where it is.(picture 1.jpg). Defenetly, not the sound or the lan. Maybe something what is related to the usb-c? How can I find out what that is? When I disabled...

laptop freezes, usb 2.0 not working, usb 3.0 working
Hi there,
It is sunday and I got a faulty hp pavilion 15-cs1006na. No available schematics on the entire world. It flashed 5 long 4 short and no post then I discovered the usb 2.0 2. pin in one of the usb-a socket bent backwards and been shorted to 2. and 3. pin of the 3.0. after removing this short in the port the laptop came alive.
Now the laptop freezing randomly. The webcam, the built in mic and according to the device manager one more thing not working which are connected to usb. If I connect anything what have usb 2.0 plug that wont work if i plug anything what...

I did shorted the pins, but a I did not disconnet the psu. Nonetheless, it is working now. Thanks you so much.

Flashback - ASUS TUF GAMING B450M-PLUS II
Hi there, My "old" gaming pc stopped working. I just tried to connect a stick to the USB-c port on the back and accidentally I pressed a button on the back of the motherboard. That was the flashback button and before that the pc worked seamlessly. After some google search I made a stick with the CAP file on it. I pressed the button and it started falshing and the LED on the pendrive did the same. After about 5 minutes both light went off then nothing changed. I repeated the process 4-5 times even with different stick, without bios battery, but no post at all(looks like it does not even...

Does anyone has this schematics? I tried to find it, but the google never ever seen this schematic. Do I need to look for it by using a different part number for the board? I can not even pay for it....

HI
The chip's manufacturer published the details, and how this chip supposed to work/start up. I collected onto the black and white image, how this chip starts and where to measure them. The pwrok is the fifth step on that long list of the startup. Maybe this could save some time for someone.
There is an example implementation on that document. In that very first step of the startup, the chip should get 5 volts on two different pins. On my chip, the VCC gets 2.6 volts and nothing on the PVCC. I tried to find out where this should come from and on the other side of the...

HP OMEN. Comes on and nothing-nothing. RT3663BM. no pwrok.
Hi There
I am intended to fix a hp laptop. Charges the battery, pressing the power button and starts and stays on, fans lightly spinning and the bench power supply shows that nothing happens after pressing the power button. Measuring the coils showed that there is no voltage on the CPU. Soon I discovered on the other side of the board an IC : RT3663BM. This chip should manage the gates. leg #19 should have voltage if power ok. there is nothing. Where this pwrok signal coming from? In what circumances the power is ok? Any idea where to go next? other voltages and resistances are fine...

QqEEH - Lenovo NM-D522
Hi There
So I am looking for a part. Namely, a QqEEH. I beleive this is responsible to create the 3.3 power rail, but on my motherboard it is shorted to the ground. injecting 1 volt into the 20 volt power rail the IC heats up. Around the IC almost everything is shorted to the ground,
Anyone knows what this little controller chip supposed to be?
Thanks,...

Thanks. I have tried both but nothing changed. Looks like something else is faulty.

May I ask a Bios for a Lenovo S540-13IML
Hi
does anyone have a working bios for the subjected laptop?
the serial number is: PF2KD2G5
I also attached the original and dead bios.
(I tried the S540-14IML 's BIOS from this forum, however with that one the laptop did not show any sign of life. Putting back the dead one the laptop switches on and gets warm as before, nothing else.)
Many thanks...
