    Help finding replacement part ACST6S

    Hi everyone

Need help finding a replacement part for a washing machine that got dumped in my lap from a friend. The problem im pretty sure of, the component in question looks to have run super hot and intermittently doesn't work. Trying to fit a heatsink to it i think i broke it completely.

Tried to find a replacement part but seems that no one carry the exact part. The datasheet link included below. Its a TO220 package and the exact numbers on my part is

    ACST67S
    GKONW VU
    CHN 70S

Thanks, but that's surface mount, i need TO220 or something easy enough to bodge in there.

They call it AC Power Switch in their datasheet. But what would one call something that worked in a similar way? I mean its basically a fancy on/off switch so should be replaceable by something else even if that would have less protection or something? Sorry for my non technical English, im not educated in the ways of electronics

Can we see the pictures of the board? If you are going to use TO-220 and mount it on the heat sink, you will have to make sure the heatsink is not connected to circuit ground if you do not use the Isolated Tab TO-220 style.

              Isolated TO220

I have found sources for the non-isolated heatsink output, but they aren't as well known sources.

The heatsink was just a test to see if that resolved the issue, it didn't (and yes it wasn't grounded). Got it back to working intermittently after reflowing the solder joints.

Thanks for all suggestions, will look them over in more detail this weekend and see where i can source a replacement from.
