You can use several of them as car battery replacement. Spot welding maybe...

        Re: oooo nice!

i was actually thinking about maybe using them as the primary source in a coil-gun.
but the price needs to come down a lot first.

        5 of those would give me a 5KA load-dump!!!!!!!!

you could also use one to prime a directional emp cannon.
(not that i would of course )

Its only rated at 2.7 volts . Still if you put a bunch togher you could use them as a battery and run a car off them .

amps over volts anyday when your after a bang!

volts give you a bright flash and maybe a burst of x-rays, but amps give you molten metal!

              "Nanocarbon graphene" LOL.
If they lie about that, I wonder if the capacitance rating is actually correct?
You can get some good ultracapacitors from surplus sites like Elec Goldmine.

if you look at the foto's,
that "D cell" looks more like a 500ml beer can or larger!

Even in a budwiser size can its hard to believe putting a 5000 f cap in that space . This is more the kind of cap I am usted to seeing .

                      oh it's doable all right,
but it's not gonna discharge in a burst - atleast not without some damage.
datasheet says the charge time for 5000Farad is 10seconds to 10min's (maybe over the temp range)
                      and the ESR is .23
so they have the capacity, but speed wise they are more like a battery.

IIRC, graphene was discovered not that long ago. I think it was about a year ago when someone showed me a video that mentioned the possibility of huge supercapacitors based on graphene. So maybe they are finally here. Pretty cool tech, IMO.

                        Electric go-carts, anyone?
Enough of these in series/parallel should give you the same results as lead-acid batteries. The added advantage is that you can deep-cycle discharge them without issue.

                          Re: oooo nice!

you could re-charge your electric car in 10 seconds.
                          the only 2 problems are:

1: it would probably cost over 10,000$ for the "battery" pack.
2: you would need to hook it up to the local grid to get the current.

having said that, the packs from honda and toyota are so expensive that it may be feasable.
                          you need 200v minimum.
so about 70 caps - i wonder how much space that would take up.

If each cap is about the size of a 330 mL soda can... a standard pack has 12... so 6 packs (72 cans). That's maybe a bit bigger than the size of a gas tank? (or not? - I'm not that much of a car person)

Even if the "battery pack" is as expensive as you said, I still think it would be worthwhile as long as that minimum 1 million number of charge cycles holds true. I doubt any regular battery can come close to this figure.

                              Original Issue
The device suffered liquid damage, causing a short circuit on the logic board.
Near the audio jack area, the CR852 capacitor pad was severely burned, creating a clear short-circuit path. The board could not power on properly.

                              Work Performed
Removed the short circuit by drilling through the board (bypassing the short path) in the CR852 area.

                              Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a project focused on diagnosing and reconstructing the control electronics of RS1 / RS Welding Systems Leipzig (WIG-STEUERUNG) welders.
I’m looking for the schematic diagram or any technical documentation of the main control board labeled 906383 / 906384, used in RS1 TIG/MMA welding machines.

                              The board includes:
                              • two UBICOM TDS38070 microcontrollers,
                              • EEPROM 24C256,

                              by Joel Ohana
                              Hi,

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15IAU7 that suffered water damage. It doesn't turn on (white power light flashes when on button pressed), and the amber light flashes when plugged in.

                              Symptoms:
                              • Short detected – sparks appear when touching the charging port connection with board with a metal (even a multimeter probe).
                              • Visible damage – after cleaning corrosion, I found 4 possibly burnt memory chips near PC3165, labeled UD5, UD6, UD7, and UD8.

What are my next steps to diagnose and possibly repair it without replacing the entire board? Any guidance would be greatly...
