Motor start capacitor.

Current Cap 7.5uF +/-5% actual 2.5uF

Replacement I found I 6.6% greater 8uF

Only thing I am thinking of is temperature increase in start winding.

In theory I would expect it to provide more start toque and slightly higher running temp is this correct.

a .5uf increase will not have a significant increase in temp. it may on torque but it depending on the motor.

Once the motor starts spinning, the start up cap is no longer connected to the circuit, it is only used for starting not for running. You are talking start up not running cap, right?

yes run capacitor the machine will run if you help it start otherwise the motor just rotates slowly.
