    Freezer questions

A friend of mine has a comercial freezer.
    Now my questions are,
    therE is a switch with a r and a c
And two themostats labeled the same.
What is the purpose of having two.

i think because it got two motors with two independent sensors.
    two thermostats for two areas
Just cook it! It's already broken.

It does have two compressers but they seem to be in parallel.

See if it has two cap-tube or two Term o expansion valves or Automatic expansion valves if it dose then it might not be
in parallel because of the fact that it has two thermostats labeled the same.

The reason for having two thermostats is one on the top half of the commercial freeze can be set for one temperature and the bottom half set a different temperature

One thermostat has C and the other R.
Also I want to know what the toggle switch that has R for on setting and C for the other.
The reason i'm looking at this is it has a frost issue and one of the other compressors has been disabled because of a "issue".

            Re: Freezer questions

sounds more like a defrost timer or thermostat issue.
i have seen the thermostat popped open where water leaked in.
            then the heater wont run.
